Awesome Big Lake....we'll get you straightened out on how to post from your phone. There is a youtube video somewhere I'll try to find. But if you have time search youtube for KTC roll posting and it should come up.

I appreciate the folks on here holding me accountable. No, I did not cave over the weekend, although the Notre Dame football loss to Georgia did cause some serious cravings. Honestly, I was having trouble navigating the site on my phone. I set up this profile on my work computer, and we do not currently have a home computer. Not making excuses, only telling the TRUTH. I assure you all...I am as honest as they come. Besides, I was living on a different kind of "high" yesterday. My son made a touchdown preventing tackle just before halftime yesterday in his youth league game.

Again, thanks for the accountability and the words of encouragement. I am now on day 4, and I am not going back.

I'm hoping you make it back in here Biglake25.

I remember something from when I was still dipping a couple years ago. My daughter, whom was 5 at the time, she would grab herself a spit cup or bottle, as I would have a huge cat turd in my mouth, she would spit as I did. I remember laughing, thinking man, this is awesome.

I also remember after I quit, looking back at that and getting pissed at myself. Once I was able to see the light it was no longer humorous. I felt ashamed.

Again, I hope you are able to make it back in here, it's awesome to quit for those young-in's, the main rule is, you have to quit for you first.

Today is it. Been approximately 12 hours since my last dip of Grizzly Straight, and it consuming a lot of my thoughts. However, I do have stronger motivation now. Last evening my 9 year old son walks up to me as I was putting in a dip. He stated, "I can't wait until I am a dad so I can use that stuff too". It honestly cracked me. I sat with him and discussed how "this can" does not make you a great Father or a Man. Celebrating the first day of the rest of my life!!!
Biglake,

Where have you been? You posted day 1 and left? I see you logged in this morning at 4 am. Did you fail again? Did you lie to yourself again? Did you show your 9 yr old son that it's ok to fail? Did you show your 9 yr old son that dipping is cool, ok, awesome? I hope not, and I hope you just didn't post roll this weekend. If that is the case, know that we quit on the weekends too. We post roll every damn day as soon as we wake , so that we take nicotine off the table immediately for the day. That is how we hold ourselves and each other accountable. If you caved , well , I will have seriously lost a lot of respect for you ,especially after the intro you posted and not even having the nuts to make it 2 days. Please come back and let us know which it was. From 1 dad to another let's get to quitting.

Welcome to the group.

What a story. I wished I was able to quit when my daughter was much younger. Instead, I waited until she was 22. Luckily she quit smoking 3 months after I quit snuff.

The main way to be successful is to just decide that you have quit. Once you stop the negotiating in your head as to whether you will do one more or not the rest becomes far more simple.

Next, you will learn to distract your attention from your desire for a dip to anything else that interests you. This ability to change your focus will guarantee your success and make your quit that much easier.

When you place a dip in your mouth, your brain releases sugars. Well, those sugars are now going to be gone.

However, you can replace them with OJ or other fruit juices with sugar. This will provide some comfort, especially in your initial quit days.

Make sure to exercise with weights and cardio when you feel that nagging tension in your muscles, you feel that rage, when you can not sleep and when you can not focus. Exercise really helps.

Here is one that most people overlook. Get at least 3 square meals a day. Hunger can really bring on those urges so squash those urges before they come. Eat full healthy meals and do not let yourself get excessively hungry. You will see this helps a great deal.

I waited until I was 59 quit after using tobacco for 40 years. You are wise to quit now.

I quit with you today.

Holy shit dude... that is a kick in the balls kind of motivation. I'm glad you typed that out so you can read it over and over. One day at a time, you can do this.

Post roll. Keep your word. Ask for help. Repeat. One day at a time.
WOW. ^^^^^ he's right read that every morning after you post roll. Get on roll. Post everyday first thing. Do it for you with the understanding that your quit will benefit those around you.
