I support you. I'll pm you my number. Feel free to use it. I'm in August. You can do this for yourself one day at a time. Your family will definitely benefit but I does have to be for you.
The light in me honors the quit in you. Namaste.

So... it's time to come clean and give this up forever.  Dip has damaged my marriage (because I was lying about it - for the 3rd time) and could have damaged my health.

I was caught by my wife on Friday and she's thinking about leaving me (for the lying, not the dipping).  This is the straw that broke the camel's back.  I've decided that my marriage and family are more important than the dip...  and I must commit myself to quitting for good.

I quit almost 7 years ago (when my wife was pregnant with my first daughter).  This year I started a new job and fell off the wagon.  It's time to go back to being a quitter.... this time for good.

Any advice and support would be appreciated.

Advice: post roll, everyday. No exception no excuses. I've lied about quitting to my wife too, that's what the nic bitch will do to you. Why would you want that? Use your family as inspiration in your quit, but you must quit for yourself, because its you'll benefit from it the most.
Your not alone in being a lieing asshole to your wife I've been doing it for 32 yrs she finally gave up on me. Have you wife read this Spousal support link. The past 52 days have been fantastic for our marriage. We talk everyday about my quit. Everyday I tell her my day and make the same promise to her as I do to all of my quit group. I'm gaining interity, I enjoy talking dip rather than avoiding the subject at all cost.
I can say the WT is right being quit has done wonders for my marriage also my wife loves the fact that she can kiss me anytime whit out worrying about getting that nasty tasting shit in her mouth are marriage has become stronger. So join up post roll and make your promise everyday to stay clean for you wife and quit brothers.
All good advice but you must quit for yourself, use whatever other motivation you want to but you have to quit for YOU. Not becuase you think your wife is going to leave you, not because you should for your kids, not because you think it will damage your health; but because you WANT it.

Quitting is hard work and you must be comitted and want it more than you want anything else. If you have that mindset then you will not blame your misery on anyone else.

Make sure you read the what to expect page, understand what we do here, post your word and get quit. If you want it, we will help. Thousands of us do it every day.

Glad you are here !! Welcome to the best decision of your life.

NEVER AGAIN

I also have the best relationship with my wife I've had in 25 yrs. But Greg is absolutely right - you must quit for you or you will be caught lying to her for the 4th time. You need to be done with dipping. You need to hate it. You need to be tired of being controlled by it. You need to make up your mind that you will do anything it takes to never put nicotine in your body again.

Hey, come join our August group. We will help you as we have a strong core of guys that are willing to help. I'm on day 13, about to hit my 2 week mark tomorrow and I could have never done without this site. Jump aboard and come post roll, make that commitment to the group that you won't use nic, one day at a time, and you can do it. I'm going be divorced if I don't stop helping you guys quit dipping with me, LOL.
I joined KTC and QUIT nic on 5/10/12.

Marino,

Glad you found us. Your story is not really unique. There a many of us who have similar stories. If you follow the way we do things around here, you will quit. Not just stop, but actually quit.

First, read ever letter here. Next, head to the August 12 quit group, found right here. Post roll using the instructions that you find in the welcome center. Each day, you post roll in the morning, as early as possible. This is your solemn promise that you will stay nicotine free (no gum/patches/etc included) for the day. That's how we do it here. One day to the next. If you have any questions what so ever, please feel free to ask me. I'm sending you a private message. You can read it by clicking the Inbox (1) in the upper right corner. My cell phone number will be there. Feel free to text me if you need someone to chat with. The first couple of days are the hardest. Not sure if you've found this yet, but here is what you can expect now that you have quit.

You will get more support here than probably anything you have ever done in your life. Like I said up top, stick with us, and you will stay quit.
