TK51 - congrats on finding this site and signing on. I know there's been some interesting "welcomes" for you so maybe I can explain a little.

The quitters here are serious about being successful and the commitment we make each day to remain quit. We give our word each day that we will NOT have any nicotine of any sort for that day by signing the ROLL CALL. Caving is NOT an option when you give your word.

Go to the October quit Group and sign in on the Roll. Keep your quit and your word for the day...repeat tomorrow. That simple.

You can DO this...

Welcome quitter.

Aw shucks your quit ended after 2 weeks :( but good job on the 2 weeks :)

Hey quitting ain't for everyone and I'm sure you tried real hard and I'm sure you were hoping like crazy you would walk to the mailbox one day and find a quit delivered with your name on it. Maybe if you keep trying to quit one day you may win the quit lottery, but maybe if you keep trying to quit (and running back to the can) you will win the cancer lottery. Either way 'qt' is ticking

Thanks for the hit and run post to update us on your quit, I know I was worried like crazy the last 2 weeks about how you were doing :(

Your way sucks, try it this way!

I'd like to hear some conviction with respect to wanting to quit. What's your story tk? Are you done dipping? Are you done being a slave to nicotine? What's going on in that head of yours?

tk51,

I think this is your first post, so welcome! Check out the ambiguously feminine colored "Welcome Center" link on the top left side of the header. There is a ton of information contained there.

Do some reading...do some more reading. When you are done reading...read a little more. Then...let us know if you belong here. We QUIT here...we don't try...we don't hope...we don't bank on luck. No hugging, no stroking, no making excuses...We quit. I quit everyday for the last 54 days. Tomorrow looks good too.

Think you can do it? Post a day 1 on October 2011...honor your promise and worry about tomorrow when it arrives.

Do you have what it takes to stop being a slave? Only you can answer that. Wanna be free?

Your move...

This was the guys first post. I think what he may be trying to convey is that he tried it without us and failed so NOW he is looking for out assistance. If this is the case then here is my suggestion.

Get your ass into October and start posting roll and use the site the way is was intended to be used.

Was that a question?

No, you don't need help. You need commitment and integrity. We can't do it for you sugartits.
So . . . to whom actually did you give your word?
