Hey all, im on day 15 without chew after 5 years. Im on the patch though, and still have a lot of anxiety. Figured support would help, dont know how to sign into a group though..... thanks - adam
Wearing a patch is like giving beer to an alcoholic. You are addicted to nicotine. Drop the patch and go cold turkey, that's what we do here.
Cold turkey, I dont know if its cheating, but i went to an herbal chew.
From what I've heard and seen, herbal chew is ok.... As long as your not putting nicotine in your system.. I used it for the first 3 or 4 weeks, and then got rid of it. Some people use it longer though,, what ever works to get you off the real stuff.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

sounds good. so i rip it off, how to join the group?
index.php?showforum=13 check out this link and read up on all of the topics in there should give you a better idea about the site, how to join a group, and how to post roll.

If the link doesn't work click on the salmon colored "welcome center" on the top left of the web page.

Good decision ditching the patch..shit is weak. PM me if you have any questions and I will be keeping an eye out for you on roll tomorrow in the July group. QLF

Anyone can stop, but can you quit? A "Stopper" versus a "Quitter"

Well Adam, this is a non-nicotene site so if you are using the patch you can read up but cannot participate in the quit groups until you rip off the patches and stop the nicotene 100%.

Cause as you use the patch, you may not be putting anything in your lip but you are still feeding yourself the addictive substance and it is that which will keep you hooked. Just like if it were an alcoholic saying he no longer does the whiskey (while he has a glass of red wine in his hand).

IMO - rip it off and stop the slavery to nicotene today. You will get the support here. And if we can do it one day at a time, so can you.
