um guys i was reading on here and i went under seven early signs of oral cancer and it said ears hurting. i am on my 3rd day nic free and my ears are sort of aching/hurting!!!!! im sorta scared. did anyone else experience this during their quit? please gimme some feedback.....................

mustang
my ears hurt.
my jaw hurt.
i couldn't sleep for weeks.
my acid reflux was off the chart
i took myself to the ER twice cause i thought i was having a heart attack.

all of these "symptoms" went away... i'm quit. no cancer.

if you want to get some peace of mind head to your doc and tell him what's going on... be honest. tell him you're quitting, how long you chewed, how often, etc. have him give you a good checkout. then just keep quitting.

we're not doctors, but sounds like normal nic withdrawal symptoms. Your body will do anything it can to get you to feed your addiction.

Obviously, if it should continue, then see your doc. Whatever you do, don't use it as an excuse to cave.
Mustang,
The advice given by Ldiddy sounds good to me. If this is really bothering you then go see your doctor ASAP. This will help relieve you of stress during a stressful time. I've been through something like this and everything turned out fine, but the need to know can be more stressful than anything else. Seeing the doctor can't hurt either way. Take Care, NDN
I agree w/ both of them Mustang. If concerned go to doc and see. But it does sound like withdrawl. Also searching the net for signs of things can bring on even more stress. I had a buddy who seemed to think he had ball cancer. He was in extreme pain every time he peed. Searched the net for what it could be. All signs pointed to ball cancer. He then went to doc. You know what????? He had a urinary tract infection. DAMN what a duffous. He actually was making himself even more sicker. But moral, before you get all stressed, go to doc to make sure. It'll put mind at ease and answer all questions. Thinking you have one thing can actually cause more harm than good. Like they said below you'll be more stressed w/ the stress that is already happening from Nic withdrawl.
WAS chewing for 25yrs. I quit forever now. I've beat drinking I have beat this. Time for the next level of my life. 100 days and counting, 1 day at a time that's all I expect. Pay it forward and no one left behind, PERIOD.

What's the difference between a liberal and a puppy??? The puppy stops whining and shitting on everything when he grows up.

Wo0+! You just might be a quitter after all LOL

How far do you get in the instructions? I've seen you post in the Nov 2008 forum today, so it's not an access issue of any kind...

Dumb question... you're not adding your information in the bottom box of the posting page, are ya?

Top box = Your message
Bottom box = Quoted message

Roll call posts would get messy quick if we just kept quoting the previous post, so we:

Select all of the quoted text from the bottom, cut it, paste it in the top, add our line and post it then.

That way there's only the one section, instead of 3 billion quote boxes...

Try it again  let me know how it goes... and stay quit fucker! ;-)
here's a graphical representation of how to post roll... hope this helps
