Three years of 2 cans a week, i Will quit today. I have anxiety and and dipping now sends me into panic attacks.

I will stop, dip has been flushed down the toilet where it belongs.

I have 2mg nicorette to tapper down.

Kill the Damn can
Welcome to ktc brother. What do you think that 2mg of nicorett is gonna do for you??? I will tell you, all that is gonna do is keep you in a constant state of withdrawl and just prolong the suck and the fog. I would flush the nicorett as well. This is a NO NICOTINE site, we quit cold turkey. If you need any help doing that or need a number, feel free to pm me.
05wrxing is right. You gotta spit that shit out. If you've been using it you have to post day 1 in the am. None means none. You can do this. also you need to post your very own intro and tell us all about yourself trav.

These guys are laying down the truth. Quitting takes committment, and a lot of it. You have got to remove "hopefully" from your vocablulary, and you MUST be 100% sure of what is important. Example: I am quit before all else. It is who I am, and what I do in EVERY situation nowadays. Everybody knows it. I know that I can never have nicotine again. There is no such thing as "just one". That piece of info meant the most to me, because it illustrates how strong our opponent is.

Nicotine is a drug. We are addicts. Quitting takes determination.

So, in this house, we don't "hope" and there is no "try".
There is "QUIT" and there is "NOT QUIT". Every morning we must choose one of those two categories. I've made my choice.

Shoot me a PM if you need anything.

Hey everyone, today is the first day of my dipless future!(hopefully) I've been reading up on what to expect over the next few months and had no idea how tough quitting will be. To be entirely honest, I'm not 100% sure I have what it takes to stick with it. I think being held accountable will be the key here. Can anyone help me find out how to get hooked up with others who have a quit date close to mine? Any help would be much appreciated!

Don't try, do.

I am 18 days into the quit. You embrace the worst cravings and save them in memory. you can stop anything for a minute. and sometimes just getting through a minute will get you past the physical withdrawal.

things to do:

drink lots of water, (not pop, or beer)
find an oral substititute, gum, seeds, herbal dip, (smoky mountain)
Exercise

if you get phone number's don't hesitate to use them when a craving hits, or just to hear a voice on the line of someone who have been there.

Listen to the advice Rapture...focus, be positive, have confidence. YOU can do this, all of us can help. Get pissed at tobacco. Read everything on here that you can, intros HoF speeches, anything and everything. Learn all you can. Got a holiday weekend here we need to get you thru. Drink water....as much as you can. If your piss aint clear...drink more water. Exercise helps too. Stay distracted, reading KTC is a good way to help with that....

Quit withya...lemme know if i can help in any way, and if ya need more numbers, lemme know that too...mine is yours if ya want it....

I know it's a scary proposition to voluntarily quit an addiction, but every day you make the commitment that the rest of us have, IT WILL GET EASIER.
I'm sending you my info. We all go through the same hell, but there is a light at the end. 40000 People have gone before us here. You got this.

I "tried" to quit 100's of times. I wanted to quit everyday. I finally got to the point that I was gonna quit. The guys/gals at KTC helped me to realize I had to QUIT. No trying, no hoping. Quit right now and tomorrow when I wake up I'm gonna quit. I never thought I could do it before now I can't imagine why I didn't do it before. It ain't easy but I (key is "I") wanted it. I am here for you man.

Rapture, your entire into, screams, I am not going to make it through the weekend. We dont try we quit! Every damn day, we quit. You make a promise not to use for that day, then do it again the next day. Kind of like shampoo, wash rinse and repeat.

Get your shit together, seed, gum ,candy whatever you need. Water, drink until you literally cant pass bathroom without pissing.

You have all of August to work with you and get accountable. I suggest you start asking for your accountability group right now. Then sit here and read up. Quitting takes balls, you got the balls?

Rapture, the key to staying quit is taking it day by day, and never saying words like "hopefully" and "I dont know". If you want to quit, wake up, and quit. The only person that can make that choice is you.

Post roll with August 2013 here.

Find out how to post roll here

Pm me if you have any questions or need someones number to stay accountable!
