I am on my third day clean after a ten plus year bout with the bear.  I m not quite sure on how to find the roll call thread for the day on this site.

It makes me sick thinking about how this withdrawl thing is affecting my day to day life and how I let something control me.

Welcome and congratulations on making the best decision of your life.

READ READ READ... Knowledge is power. Knowing what is coming will help you tremendously.

Like Sensei says.. get involved, build accountability and above all KEEP YOUR WORD.

The fog is gonna clear. Afterward, hold on and like the other guys said, READ. Not just the fun stuff. There is a great deal of experience here from people who have been through a special kinda hell.

David.
The fog has lifted. I never want to go through that again. I was scared to death last night at the dentist but it went well. I have daily battles with my mind but i can sleep clearly at night knowing that I have kept a promise to myself for the day of No Nic. I know I have a long way to go but I feel like I am on a path that I am proud of everyday.

Nice work Buck. I'm no veteran by any means. I'm 43 days into my quit, and this WILL be my last quit. I just want to warn you that after 42 days without shit in my mouth, I had a wicked bad fog last night. It's not over by any means. Just remember to post roll and KEEP YOUR WORD. You'll get through. Congrats on making the best decision of your new life.
I just came across my day 3 post and I decided that i would be somewhat interspective. I never completed HOF speech because I m battling everyday and just havent felt the accomplishment yet. I am now six months into the quit and it might be the proudest thing I have done with the exception of my family.

It is such a blessing that I found this site and found my serenity to change what I could control.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
