So I know Alcohol is not encouraged this early into my quit. However, I have triggers with almost everything i do, drinking is no worse, and in fact takes an edge off and makes the next hour of quitting easier. I am 100% confident in my ability to drink and stay quit.

With that out of the way, Quitting has already given me a gift. I went to the bar with my buddy, got good and drunk, and struck up a conversation with a cute girl. Unlike other nights however, there were no trips to the bathroom to throw in a dip, no bad breath, and nothing in my teeth. And also, apparently I had a hell of a lot more confidence than previously. A joke about my oral fixation even helped seal the deal.

Well I don't know how appropriate this is to post, but to make a long story short, being quit got me laid. I wouldn't have gotten laid without being quit, and this boosts my spirits three days in more than i could have thought possible.

To anyone on the fence about being quit, FUCKING QUIT. Three days in, and it is already paying off. Right now it really feels like the best decision ive ever made.
I can't believe this sat here all day and nobody responded. I'd say it's TOTALLY appropriate to post. I'm more than a little shocked that nobody gave you hell about drinking this early, but I'm just sitting here jealous that you're obviously still young enough to have sex drunk. Enjoy THAT part, at least, you fucker. Just be warned that age might take that away from you!!
Haha full disclosure, I did read this story and almost responded, but couldn't do it. All I kept thinking was "this motherfucker!"

Bud, regardless of who you are, alcohol lowers your inhibitions. It makes it easier to say yes, when your more rational mind would say no. I won't tell you not to drink, but I will suggest that you make a plan every time you do. Just make a plan to avoid nicotine and then plan escape routes when you encounter it from an unexpected source. If you're at a bar, at some point someone will want to step outside for a smoke... make sure you have a practiced response rather than being caught off guard.

... and when you play the fool, wrap your tool.
Thanks.

I do need to make a plan for alcohol. I think about my quit nearly seemingly every minute, which helped me be sure i would drink and be alright.

However, I know I need to really be careful in the future, as a caving opportunity will likely come out of nowhere when I drink, and I won't be thinking about my quit nearly as much I am now. Before I drink in the future, I will continue to make sure I have my seeds, am hanging out with my nicotine free friends, staying away from convenience stores, and reiterating to myself that i am quit out loud before i drink. I have already practiced responding to and offer with "No way, I quit" out loud enough to feel like an insane person, but hopefully that might just make it second nature whenever I'm offered.

With regards to being young enough to have sex drunk, sorry guys, I gotta enjoy whats left of my youth while I can. Just know that there will be some sad day when I will learn the hard way that drunk sex won't work for me anymore. But Ill take solace in the fact that getting too old sure as hell beats the alternative!!

Do yourself ONE big favor. Take this shit seriously!! Like life or death seriously. Because it is just that serious. I'm in September with you, too, because I just gave up 84 days of quit. And I'm mad. I hope you are, too. I'll PM you my number if you ever need it. And don't forget. I don't care about your family situation or your job situation or your anything situation. QUITTING is the most important thing you'll do today.

Today is my first day dip free since 2009. I have a tin every 2 days. Im sick of spending 25 bucks a week, I'm sick of becoming a whiny irritable prick if i have to go 2 hours without my nicotine crutch, and Im sick of waking up after a night of drinking with sandpaper for a mouth.

I quit today. if i were to wait til tomorrow, it would be just a little bit harder. Today is the easiest day to quit. No Dip today.

Im glad ive found this, I'm determined to stick it out.
Good job today is a good day to quit, better than tomorrow. Don't know it you have communicated with anyone on here but post a promise every day to not use niccotine for the next 24 hours every morning with your group. I think your group is September mine is july. Its the month you'll hit 100 days with out niccotine. Im at day 48 now. After 23 years on the stuff. The first couple weeks were the toughest for me. What helped me was gum and fake chew. I let people at work know i was quiting and might get super angry over small things. Pm me if you nee anything lots of people on here can explain things abd help you. Just make sure you find sept and post everyday and get some numbers of others if you would like mine i will give it to you.
