Thanks for the support, and I did take your advice and threw all my cans in the trash and it was kind of a feeling of confidence cause I've never done this its been difficult because I'm used to that can in my back pocket and it was jus easy to give up and take that dip. Now with the work issue this time of year we have harvest which mean takin time off is non existant but I'm going to grab and bag of seeds and stay busy to keep my mind off it now having you write me back gave me a lot of hope in this and I appriciate it, and I promise today is the day I'm done, now one more question how do you set your date that you quit on this website?
Last dip- Feb./19/2012
Quit date- Feb/20/2012

Hi my name is Zach, I've tried quitting before and it really didn't last. I found this site about a month ago and I found the courage to join today and start tomorrow. Jus reading through this site gave me inspration to finally do it, but what I do need is some advice on what to expect and what I should do jus to get the urge to stop because I get to certain points in my day at work where I put a dip in and go but it sure make this so much easier to know I'm not alone
Congrats Zach on the best decision you ever made. Best advice...take every can you have and go dump them in the toilet right now. Why wait....It is going to suck no matter what. Just plan on getting through the first three days of getting nicotine out of your system. Your only job these next few days are not using nicotine in any way. Doesn't matter if you have to call in sick to work to accomplish that. Your life is worth more than three days of work. Read everything on this site and then read it again. It will tell you how to save your life. I had to run miles and go to the gym for at least an hour to wear me out so bad that I didn't think about it as much. I also got a bunch of sunflower seeds and gum. This site will work for you if you are a man of honor. Promise not to use nicotine just for today....and then keep your word. Look forward to quitting with u Zach! Dave Davidc67 -day 215-
