JRogers - Welcome to KTC! I see you said that you found your group (February 2018 which is sizing up to be a GREAT group!) but I don't see a post?? Posting roll is what it is all about here. Just go to Feb 18, find that last roll, and post your name, day count and promise every morning. You will be posting with folks who are at the same stage of their quit as you are. You will all hit 100 days quit (hall of fame!) in February 2019. You will have each other to lean on. It's powerful. it works. It doesn't sound like it should, but it does. So POST! No need to quit alone anymore, girl.
Like SRains and Skol (two incredible quitters you should get to know, btw) wrote, there are plenty of women that have graced these halls, including yours truly. I was a smoker, but most women here were dippers. We are all nicotine addicts.
Everything you are going through (emotions, food cravings) is perfectly normal. Don't worry about a few lbs right now - if a few snickers helps your through the craves, eat 'em! You'll take the weight off later when your brain and body heals and you feel like a million bucks (and you will, I promise!) Emotions, anxiety...all par for the course, but it gets better in time. Be good to yourself and give this process some time. And hold on to that memory of that first horrible hell week - you don't ever have to go through that again as long as you stay quit.
Reach out to folks in your group - and the vets - for their support and exchange numbers (please pm me - but don't just limit yourself to the ladies!) I know it sounds weird and scary, but I have been a member of KTC since August of 2016, have 71 KTC phone numbers in my phone and have never had a bad experience with anyone I have met at KTC. I don't know how that is even statistically possible, but it is true.
Again, great job, welcome, congratulations - now get your butt on roll!
