So this is day 2. I have a small head ache, but that about it. The fog is so thick on day 2 that I cant see to get out of the house... ( Im rebuildin carbs today, feel sorry for the guy that owns the boat).  Im going to kick day 2s ass. I got a good sleep in last night, and Im ready to fight.
I hear you about the fog brother. Yesterday I had to walk into the lunch room three times before I remembered that I went there.... to get my lunch.

Quit strong, Quit hard.
Guys,
You are going to experience some wierd shit during the fog. Your body is cleansing itself. Make sure to read everything you can here. Not only does it give you knowledge, it gives you something to occupy your mind which is very helpful in the beginning.

If you guys need a number PM me and mine is yours. I will answer any questions you may have..

Stay clean...

Guys thanks for the support today. I spent all day looking around here. I met a guy last night on here that I exchanged numbers with. This morning when it was one of the biggest triggers for me, he TEXT me and said "hang in there". Just out of the blue. Without that text , I may not have made it to roll tomorrow. Its nice having someone know where you are comeing from. I occupied most of my day smoking. Not cigerettes, but beef briskets, and ribs. I am making. I will not cave. I am going to win this battle.

Cando,
Glad you are here. These guys have all already given you plenty of good advice, make sure you use it.

Understand you are an addict. Addicted to the perfect drug. Learn to hate the weed and those that sell it and this becomes much easier. You will find everything you could ever hope for in the way of knowledge here, and you will also find 5,000 other people willing to give you their time, past experiences, and guidance.

You have given us your word today. Keep that promise and come back tomorrow and repeat. Best decision you will ever make.

Congrats on a great decision. Make sure to read as much of the advice as you can. Give seeds a shot too - they can distract you for a while as well. Gum works, ice, whatever.

Today is gonna suck, tomorrow will, and the day after too. Do it one minute at a time and keep your word to yourself and us.

cando - Congratulations and welcome to the best site you will ever find. Look, every one of us has been exactly where you are right now. Some of the brothers on here have been there more than once as they have caved. Caving is, as you probably have already learned, when someone fails to stay quit.

More importantly to understand is that CAVING is FAILING TO KEEP YOUR WORD.

Deciding to quit is only the decision that gets you to this site - the site doesn't magically make you immune to dip or make you a super quitter. It is the support of all the brothers and sisters on here and the accountability that you agree to have to us and that we agree to have to you that makes this site effective and have made us all bad-assed quitters.

Stay true to yourself and your fellow quitters. Stay strong in your resolve to kick this habit and to honor the word you give every morning to each and every one of us. STAY QUIT by living and breathing the honor-code set forth in these pages. Listen to what the vets have to say. Listen to what all the new quitters have to say...sometimes you learn more from the bad examples set by others than you do the good examples set by some. Read everything you can on here and get involved...the more active you remain, the stronger your quit will be. If you ever need anything, PM me. If you need a number, mine is yours for the asking.
Blah...Blah...Blah...You keep TALKIN....I'll keep QUITTIN

I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to support YOUR quit.

There is no "if" for today. You posted roll call, gave your promise.....you have no other alternatives, dip is off the table for today.

Well its daylight. I read to avoid triggers. How the hell do I keep the sun from rising? The Smokey Mountain stuff is shit!! This is going to be a long day. If I can get past today, Im good.
"If" sounds a lot like "Try". There is no "Try". You CanDo it. You will do it. We will be here all day.

Get through it hour by hour if you have to, hop into chat and talk to people. Whatever you do, keep that crap out of your lip.
A promise not kept is the road to exile.

If quitting is cool, consider me Myles Davis.

Unless you bring value onto my 1/2 acre, I don't want to hear it.

Welcome cando and congrats on your decision. You CAN do this, don't think any other way and don't worry about the long term....just today.

The first few days are going to suck. Remember it and know that you never want to go back. Try some melatonin or Tylenol PM as a sleep aid.

It sucks all ready. Im sleepy, but cant sleep. I think its pyscological right now. Like if the doctor tells you its going to hurt, you tense up. I did go get some Smokey Mountain. If snuff tasted that bad I would have never stared.
