Hi Todd!
Todd, I see a few things in your post that sounded like where I was. Two cans a day while sitting in front of the computer, and worrying about my own mortality on a near constant basis. Is this sore throat really cancer this time? When is the mass going to show up on my cheek? You, I, and many others have been there.
But my man KingNothing is right. You're here on KTC now, dude. There's no need to hope or wish here. If you get involved in your group, post roll every day, and genuinely want to quit, you should EXPECT this quit to be a successful one and nothing less. The way this site operates is extremely basic, and extremely effective.
Step 1. Promise to not use nicotine in any form by posting roll (By the way, well done on posting roll today!)
Step 2. Keep your promise until tomorrow.
Step 3. Repeat.
There is no shortage of great information on this site. Read hall of fame speeches. Read the "What to expect when you quit dipping" page if you need to. Read the stories of the people who successfully remain quit and how their lives have improved, but also read the stories of those who made the decision to quit too late, and sadly, are no longer with us. All of it is valuable information that will either inspire you to remain quit, or scare you into never wanting to use nicotine again. Use whatever resources you can here!
Welcome to the site, you'll REALLY be glad you came!
