RigaJig,
I get the anger thing. I think I had a monopoly on that part of the withdraw. Thats the truth. When that part hit I actually left my house and spent the night at the Holiday Inn. Although to my surprise, when I came back home my wife came up to me and hugged me and said she understood. She told me she cared about me so much that she wants me to do what I have to do to make this quit work.

Trust me when I say everone in your family know it is the withdraw talking. They will let it flow off of them because they all want this QUIT for you. So hang in there and keep it going. Drink water and cranberry juice. The CDC and Cancer Society says cranberry juice is best for purging the Nicotine out because of the PH level of the juice. I did research also before and after I quit. My fog lifted in a few days. I got better as days went on but now at day 15 I barely miss the can, I do have cravings but I stay vigilant and I know my triggers and take myself out of those situations.

I hope this helps. PM me and I will give you my cell number. Use it when you feel weak.

My dad is a dentist! He sold his private practice a few years ago and now teaches dental students at Midwestern University. He never chewed or smoked though haha.

Keep up the quit! Your getting past the worst part!

Well my irritability has definitely kicked in. I have been spending the day with my father in order to spare my wife and kids. Unfortunately he was the recipient of some hurtful comments after talking my ear off earlier this afternoon. Now I feel bad 'bang head'
Withdrawals suck. Your dad understands. We do too. Come here and hop in chat. There are always a bunch of dudes in there to vent on. You'll be laughing in no time.

You've got this man. It will get better.

You can do this. If some dude like Applejack can do it, you can. Ha

You've posted your promise today so there is no need to stress about today.
He's right B)B

25 years... 2 cans a day. I was as big a junkie as you could find. I took dips so big it made me sick sometimes. But... as soon as I felt a little better... popped another'n right back in to "celebrate".

Are.you kidding me!?! I'm so thankful I'm not that fool anymore!

787 days of freedom today. Glad you proved me wrong... do me a favor?... Keep doing it!

Rig,

Congrats brother, I see you posted Day 1 of the rest of your life. Just remember your post is your promise to yourself, your family, and your brothers and sisters here at KTC, your promise to be nic free today, don't worry about tomorrow, just today. Like you, I planned my quit and picked my quit date a month ahead of time and told everyone I knew I was quitting and when it was going to happen because I knew I would let myself down, but being accountable to others is the extra motivation I needed. That what this site is about, support and accountability, the brothers and sister on here are awesome, and I couldn't have done it without them. Read as much as you can and get involved.

You may have had your feathers ruffled the last couple of days, but use it for motivation. Prove to yourself and everyone else that you GOT this. Embrace the Suck!

Quit with your brother, pm if you need anything.

Now let's kick ass! Show me the man your suppose to be! I'm 167 day's of freedom after 38 years, I'm living proof you can do this! Damn proud to be quit with you today my friend! Pm me for my number if you want
What he said. Pab and I are both 38 year dippers who are beating this thing. For me, it's 16 days clean after over 13,500 days dirty. Let that little piece of medical abuse sink into your brain. You have been abusing your body that long, and now you are going to start paying the piper to get your health and freedom back. It's god damn fucking heroic what you are doing....and it's not only the right thing to do, it's the only thing to do if you want to live....so be that hero --for you and your family-- and DO IT! Proud to quit with you today!

Aight... it's Friday morning and I see no post up.

Big surprise. However... you have a few hours yet to prove me wrong and... I sincerely hope you do.

Put your money where your mouth is instead of shoving more crap in it. Are you gonna choose freedom or your addiction?
