Nice quit you got going Twin.... just remember how bad it sucks now so you never, ever want to have to deal with it again. Even AFTER the physiological stuff's done (about another day or two for you), you will still have to deal with the psychological stuff. Think about it....for nine years you've been on a fairly steady nicotine drip. Your brain built up all those additional dopamine receptors that you are now starving. They have to die off.... it's the dying off of these little nicotine-fed demons in your brain housing group that's responsible for the irritation, fogginess, waking up in a cold sweat, general nasty disposition you will have to go through.... and it will take some time. Just know that it is so much better when you get to the other side. One day, one hour, one MINUTE at a time if necessary.

Post your promise, EARLY, EVERY DAY, and wrap yourself with accountability (numbers/contacts) with your fellow September Samurais. You'll be glad you did.

Solidly in your corner, bud.

Thank you all for the advice and support. After I woke up I am feeling fatigued, some foggy brain, a little dizziness. I have to say for me on this day, it has been easier than I have thought. I did sleep most of the daylight hours though, haha, so that probably helped. I don't know what tomorrow brings, so I ain't going to worry about it.

I remain committed to being quit on this day/night.
Nice brother. Most of today is complete. Stay vigilant and keep your guard up. When it seems easy, your brain will most likely try to trick you. Recognize the signs and be prepared to scream some more "I am quit."

Step one you are here and posted roll.

Step 2, gets some digits and text a quitter or two, it helps.

Step 3, drink water, stay strong!

Thank you bro. I have been dipping for about 9 years. I appreciate the reply and will follow your advice. It's good to know there are others out there in my position. According to my understanding the last of nicotine will be out of our systems in 72 hours. That's only 48 more for you. We can do this, be strong and win!
I am starting day six. I will tell you to take it one day at a time. It may seem like the hours are days, but looking back at my week. It actually flew by in retrospect. I quit with you today and every day after, I promise.
72 hours the nic is out. Then you must see how strong you are mentally. The nic bitch will be behind you, make sure you stay ahead of her. One slip up she could be beside you. Battle her, remember she's stolen your freedom all these years! Keep some numbers of your brothers and sisters, you may never need them but if you're like most of us chances are you will! Just an addict trying to help another addict! I quit with you today my friend!
Drink lots of water, ToT. Flush your system. Everytime you walk past a toilet you should want to stop and piss. Quit on.

How are you feeling this morning bro? If you are like me, the morning was the hardest in terms of keeping committed. Post roll early today and guard yourself against the morning rationalizations. There is nothing scheduled in your day today that will be better or easier with chew. You got this. Reach out if you need anything.

Oh I almost forgot, make sure you get numbers from your Quit Group brothers and sisters. I sent you mine via email because we WILL make it thru ur first weekend together. Text or call if you are having cracvings or other trouble. If you can't reach me or your other bros the. Get on live chat.

Lastly, explore this forum a lot over the next few days. Make sure you read about the symptoms you will experience and read other people's stories. They are inspiring as hell. By tomorrow you shod be fully knowledgable about the SUCK, the CAVE and the FUNK. Hint. Right now you are in the suck but we're with you all the way.

We quit with you!

Welcome bro. I just sent you an email. Check your messages by clicking INBOX link in Upper right corner of page. You will mostly post your success in this Intro page (use it like a diary, you'll get lots of support) and in our September 2015 Quit Group page. Also, at some point click on LIVE CHAT link and setup an account to live chat with other members. There are always some hall of famers (100+ day quitters) there to talk you back from the ledge or just shoot the shit.

I'm only on Day 2 after 38 years of dipping but I can already promise you that if you embrace this site and the people quitting with you, then you will have your best shot at succeeding.

Your commitment here means:
1. WUPP EDD: Wake up, piss, then post roll call (WUPP) every damn day (EDD)
2. Commit to be NIC free every day and do it.
3. Repeat
