Proverbs 18:2

"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion."

A Quit Plan: Do you have one?

CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit.
After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco. SportDad 1/13/05

Warm summer sun, shine kindly here;
Warm southern wind, blow softly here;
Green sod above, lie light, lie light.-
Good-night, dear heart, good-night.

Be silly, be honest, be kind

Ask your dentist...believe it or not. I know some dentists will give it out. But I agree with bean, nut up and make it happen. I'm heading out on a hunting trip this weekend, and you better believe its going to be tough. But, I'm not going to slip up and I'm not going to find something that replicates a habit i'm trying to get rid of...

You can order the fake stuff on-line. But why blow your money on that? Just nut-up and make it happen. YOU can do this. You really can.

Remember, don't think about tomorrow, next week, or next year. We'll deal with them when they get here. Focus on right now. If you can go one minute without putting that shit in your face, you can make it two.

So post roll everyday, give your word that just for that day you will fight like hell to keep nicotine out of your system. No matter how bad it gets, keep your word just for that day. Then the next day, repeat.

We're here for you...every step of the way.

Bullshit.  You don't miss dip.  You're an addict, and you miss the relief from withdrawals that the nicotine gave you.  Can you truly say you miss continually rubbing your lips on a  disgusting mini-cesspool (unless you were gutting it), constantly having stuff hung in your teeth, avoiding certain situations so you could have a pinch of death, thinking you were dying of cancer every time something felt different on your gums, and spending your hard earned money on somethign designed to kill you?
Oh man, that sentence hits so close to home. The last few years of my life that is exactly how I thought. It sucked. Every tin I got I would always think this is the the one that's going to give me cancer. New shit popping up out of nowhere on my tongue or gums.
I thought I liked it. Then I got over the withdrawal symptoms and realized that it was just my body trying to tell me that I need nicotine. Not dip. Once you look at like that, it gets a lot better. At least it has for me these 8 days.

"i miss my dip and watchng monday night football...."

You could take out Monday night Football and insert anything there because I know I dipped during it.
Buy the fake stuff if you "miss it" so much! I started using fake last week and it got me through. The other guys are right though.......you don't miss the dip.....you miss the relief from withdrawal! You gotta get through the withdrawl symptoms! Once you do you will find your quit much stronger! Don't cave.......tough it out and prove to yourself and everyon here that you are strong!
I own stock in Smokey Mtn fake right now...lol.
I would probably try fake chew for the rare guys weekends, etc. if I could find any. There aren't any walmarts where I live (Seattle), believe it or not. Does anyone else know where to find it?

I used to think the same thing, but it was all lies. There is nothing desirable about dipping, and to succeed you must stop romanticizing it. UST screwed me for many years, and I'll never forget that. I will never contribute another cent to an organization that intentionally entices, entraps, and then kills its clientel.

Get mad, man! You gotta get some heart in this battle if you expect to win it. You've made a great decision to quit. PM me if I can ever help you in any way.

Good choice to quit!

Start posting roll every morning with your group--you are on day 15, so you will be in the December group.

Exchange numbers, read--read-read and get involved. This site will help ypou through.

good decision sept5! It is tough to go without something that's been there but I'd rather have those extra years, my teeth, family and the pure joy of knowing I'm in control not some can! Keep up the grind and if you need something PM me.
