Only way out of it - and that is through it. Every time I got to another level of suck I thought "well, I gotta face this demon down eventually - and I'm not doing this %^# again!"

The fog does suck. I am self employed and I billed about half the hours I actually worked because I was pretty worthless for a while. But ya know what - I survived it and so will you. This all gets so much better. Keep going!

Read my intro, I struggled with the fog and unproductiveness - concentration until around day 30? Yeah, it blows but you know what? You will work for another 25 years of your life. A month of being pretty worthless at work won't affect your retirement party.

Day #17....the longest I've gone without the bitch in over 10 years and the second longest I've gone in 20 years...
Day 1 and 2 weren't bad.
Day 3-7 was The SUCK.
Fog set in thereafter and has only lifted periodically. Focus is a huge problem. I have quit paused dipping many times for a week or so and then always started back up. It isn't the SUCK that has killed me in the past. It's the fog and the lack of productivity. I'm vested. I'm committed. The boats have been burned. I'm not turning back. But man, I sure hope my ability to focus improves soon.

great decision to quit...sounds like you are determined and that is the key to all of this..do it for yourself...dark times are coming as you get the nic wench out of your system and you must be 100% bought in or trouble will come. Post your promise every day and make sure you get some digits from your fellow quitters...this was the key to making my quit permanent! Proud to quit with you today and I you want me digits let me know and I will be happy to support. Quit On!

TME - first step is to get over to the August quit group and post roll.

If you found the site and signed up without having any idea what you were getting yourself into (which is exactly how I ended up here), then I recommend you read Here's How You Quit... Hey TME. Sounds like you are serious about this. Glad your here with the rest of us. August has some great people and everyone of here will support the hell out of you as long as you do your part. You know it will suck for awhile but that's a good reminder how bad that crap was for you and all of us here. Hang in there buddy!
