HI just want to introduce myself, I am 50yrs young and have been chewing for 36yrs or so give or take a year or 2. I have tried to quit on my own and found it is practically impossible. I used to chew 2 cans of snuff a day. I hate what it is doing to me, and my family. I just had a new baby boy born in oct. I would like to stick around for awhile for him and my wife. It is hard to find much in the way of help with quitting chew. Everything is mostly pointed at smokers. I used to smoke and chew sometimes at the same time. But I gave up the smoking and stuck with chewing, thinking I was only harming myself, but in reality I am hurting everyone I am close too.

Today starts a new adventure, it is going to be hell,,but today I choose not to use.
Quit trying and just quit. Make up your mind that today you will not use any form of nicotine. If you want some help join the May 2013 quit group and make a promise to them that you will not use today. Keep your word and repeat tomorrow.

It's been too long, I know. Time to put yourself first. Make quitting the number one priority in your life. Never again. Not once.

Good decision guy! I'm glad you made that decision, and I am glad I made that decision too. Its been good (not easy - but good) to quit with these strong folks here. I want to quit with you for today. Its Monday will be my 34th day quit. Drink lots of water now during physical withdrawal. I use the chat room a lot when I need it.

Good decision on kicking your nicotine habit to the curb. This site can help. There are no short cuts, but here are some links that will help you navigate this site.

This a a NO NICOTINE SITE, period, no discussion.

Biggest thing to do is get acquainted with this site. Highly recommend you go here: WELCOME CENTER and Getting acclimated

Your quit decision MUST be 100% your decision. Anything short of that sets you up for failure by allowing your addict brain to blame a given situation as reason for you to go back to the can
