My advice... stay on here. Get involved. Post roll every morning without fail.
Then, Read everything you can on this site. Your cravings and those little voices the nic-bitch whispers in your head are normal. The tools to deal with them are all here at KTC. The more you know about the evil we are fighting, the easier it is to beat it down.
Glad to have you with us.
QUit with you today.l

Red,
First of all welcome to KTC. Second, You seem to be off to a good start. I would recommend posting roll in your group Pre-HOF January 2014 (since you quit 4 days ago).

The good news is that you are close to have nicotine out of your system entirely. The bad news is that you are still an addict, the chemical is only part of the addiction. You will need the support of your group and they in turn will need your support.

You need to dive in head long get to know the group of people, you don't have to be friends but you will notice that this is all about brotherhood. This is one of those opportunities in life where you are given a chance to be adopted by and adopt a couple thousand people to help you.

You seem to be driven to quit and the biopsies are scary as hell. I also want to urge you to look at one day at a time, never worry about tomorrow, plan for a week or anything. Just kick ass today, then when tomorrow rears its head post roll and kick the shit out of it too.

You can do this, now saddle up and starting riding with your group.

My name is Red. For the past 18 years I've been at least a can a day dipper. Skoal Long Cut Straight was my can of choice. I've tried quitting many times, but the biopsy that I just had finally pushed me over the edge. My results came back negative, but I don't want to go through that again. At day 4 and the urge is strong, but sunflower seeds and Smokey Mountain herbal chew seem to help. It definitely seems to be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I keep having the thoughts of 'one chew won't hurt' or 'buy pouches cause it's not the same', but I continue to fight those urges and move forward. Hoping it gets easier as the days pass.... To all those in the same boat as me GOOD LUCK! To those that quit before me and continue without the can, KEEP IT UP! I'm gonna get there one day, I just know it.... Thanks.
I've had a biopsy before and thats no fun waiting. Glad you came back clean, as did I, but guess what....I packed a dip in the minute I found out I was clean....how stupid was that. ----thats addiction. Plain and simple. You've decided to quit, thats a first step. Now, quit like you mean it! Stay strong, read read read, there is tons and tons of advice to soak in here. There is no luck here, there is quit or not quit, its nut-up, guts out, kicking the nic bitches ass in this house.
