Hey bud looking like you need to check out nov13 divers and start posting about taking your life back with us. No games here only quitting. One day at a time. Post roll. Get connected. Reach out to others. Read the intros and HOF speeches. In time your head will clear and you'll see the immense possibilty of life without a mouth full of black dog shit. We can do this thing together. Come with us.

Peace.

I'll dig around and figure out how to post roll tomorrow. I had the vile stuff in my mouth earlier today. Gotta go to a football game and a football practice tonight. Will probably go through 2 cans of the fake stuff but I can do this.
I'll be looking for your roll post in the morning. If you quit today, then you will be posting day 2 in the morning.

You got this. It takes balls, but you can absolutely do it.

I just sent you a PM. Look up at the top right of the screen see "inbox (1)." Click that and see what level of accountability you want. By posting an intro that is nice but when times get tough what are your plans? Hide in a closet? Roll down to Ammish's citgo and see if he carries SMC? The weekend is approaching. Yard work. Cookouts. Kids making you crazy. Too many beers. The usual triggers.

Read up and down this site. We are all addicts. Get to know folks. It is pretty obvious which folks in November you want to run with. They have some badass quitters in there.

We concentrate on one day at a time. More like one minute if you are day 1. Quittin is so much fun we get up post roll, keep our promise and do it all again the next day.

Use the Live Chat anytime for immediate help. It has saved many people on here.

I quit today with a Bamm

The can of Timberwolf just hit the trash can. Didn't throw it in mine. Don't want it anywhere close to me. Can't tell you how good it feels to see these posts of support.

Recently turned 40. Proud father of 4. I've had a can a day habit for the better part of the last 25 or so years. That's right, over 25 years of this. It has controlled my life. If I'm not eating, drinking or sleeping I've got a dip. Scared to death about what might be going on health wise and I'm ashamed that my kids have never seen a day where I wasn't spitting in a bottle, cup or on the ground. Oldest son is now 15 and he knows kids in school that are now dipping. Tired of people walking up to my desk seeing my nasty spit bottle.

I quit for about a year back in '95 using the fake stuff, so I'm gonna give that another shot. Picked up 2 cans of Smokey Mountain this afternoon.

HUTCH
Welcome Hutch! Glad you finally decided to quit. I was also a dipper for almost 30 damn years. Way too long for both of us.

Since you've failed at quitting before, you already know what to expect in the early days - this is to your advantage. You've got your fake chew, thats great. Now dump all your cans of 'real' dip into the toilet and flush it. If a half-full can is sitting in your garbage can, you'll be tempted to dumpster dive in a moment of weakness. Get rid of it all, completely. COMMIT to quitting, and you will quit.

Here at KTC we quit one day at a time. Thats the only way to do it, because "forever" is much too hard in a moment of weakness, and can kill your quit. So dont quit forever, just quit for today. Figure out how to post roll in your group. Quitting today puts you in the November 2013 group (thats when you'll hit the Hall of Fame, 100 days quit).
This link should help you figure it out:
index.php?showtopic=50

Then come on here every morning and post roll, which is your promise to your group to not use nicotine of any form for that day. Send a private message to some folks in your November group, and exchange phone numbers with them, and text/call them for support. If I can do anything to help you get started or anything else, just send me a private message.

Glad to quit with you today!
Rick

Are you quit right now? If so, congrats on a great choice. If not, what are you waiting for?

We post roll in quit groups. You will be in the November quit group, meaning you will hit 100 days quit in the month of November. Go to the top left of this page and click on the WELCOME CENTER to find out what we do and why. Navigate this site. Read everything you can. Get to know the folks in your quit group. Get phone numbers. This is a support group, and people can only help if you let them. Thousands of folks on this site are chomping at the bit to help you out.

You have every reason to quit and zero reasons to continue using. I quit with you today, this hour, this minute.

Thanks for calling me out on some of the words I chose. You are absolutely correct. I have been an addict for over 25 years. I am not just going to give this a shot. I have got to do this.
Then you'll do it. We can help.

...habit...

...another shot...
First, this isn't a habit. It's an addiction. You don't get physical withdrawal symptoms when you quit biting your fingernails.

Second, just giving it a "shot" means you have not eliminated the possibility of choosing to ingest nicotine again. We don't "try" here. We quit.

The words we use are very important to our mindset and our mental toughness. As you know, quitting is hard. Make the decision that you are quit and that you will post your word as a man here daily and then keep your word.

Welcome to the site. Yell if you need anything.

PS - Your name just reminded me of the baddest ass bike ever made..........
