interesting motivational technique.

I've wanted to quit for several years, tried too without any real success. No support to turn to. I think I was looking for the level of motivation. I have it now. I had no idea that nicotine was so bad for the heart. My brother had a heart attack and triple bypass in Sept 2012. He hasn't dipped since. that wasn't enough for me, because my heart was fine.

Now though, I've seen my arteries, I've seen the damage, I know what it means if I don't quit, NOW.

Mogul is right. Fight for your life. It's up to you.

Follow the KTC plan by the letter. Do not stray one bit, and you will successfully quit. Go post roll in May 2014. Do it now.

I quit with you, one day at a time.

I'm 52. I've been dipping since I was 14. 38 years. I had a heart cath yesterday. If you don't know what that is, google it. It's not pleasant.

Long story short, my cardiologist told me I had two choices, quit dipping or die of heart disease. Nicotine is really bad for your cardiovascular system, I have come to find out.

I haven't had a dip since 9 am, Thursday Feb 13. It's a hard thing to do, but I don't have a choice.
Welcome xct84 to the place you need to be. Well that seems like an easy choice. Quitting dip is the hardest thing I have ever done. But I am almost positive that no one ever died from quitting dip. It sounds like you might if you don't. Read EVERYTHING you can here, learn how and why to post roll call. Pinkish, salmon colored tab at the top of the page. Get quitting! Make some friends and above all post roll every damn day! (EDD)

Yes you do have a choice, live or die. Right now you are scared because of the doc, many of us here have been there. Nicotine doesn't give up that easy. I've seen people dip with their jaw half gone. As soon as you are feeling better you will be humping that can again. UNLESS you want to quit, and from what I just read, I don't think you do.

However, this place is the right place if you do WANT to quit. We can help you win, but you have to bring the fighting attitude. So, which is it?
