Nor7 - where are you man? Posted a Day 2 then disappeared. Quitting nicotine/tobacco takes balls. But as hard as it might be, the process here on KTC is incredibly simple:

1.) Wake up
2.) Post your promise not to use nicotine that day
3.) Piss (can be done simultaneously with #2)
4.) Keep your word
5.) Repeat #1 - #4 one day at a time.

I hope you see this post someday. And I hope when that day comes your hatred towards nicotine is stronger than what it was when you originally posted this intro. And I hope you are sick and tired of the nic bitch stealing your health, time away from your family and your money and you are ready to take your life back. You have my digits; I'll be happy to support you if you come back and become serious about quitting.

Peace.
I guess he found out it didn't get that much easier after day 3.

I find these intros to be so sad, but at the same time so important. Here's a guy who was struggling, went so far as to reach out for help and sign up, but then disappeared and is most likely back to using.

Fear of becoming that person is partly what kept me coming back, early on. I put my quit down on paper, for peer review and couldn't deal with being another one of the many cautionary tales that fill these pages.

Hopefully this dude gets back on board and with the right attitude. I'll root for him and support his efforts. Until then, he just makes me appreciate the support that I found here that helped me break free.
Im a newbie that just joined. Im on my 40th quit day. Im just so glad that I haven't given in and have made it this far. Im here to tell anyone who has just quit or thinking about quitting....my worst days have been these last two weeks. My first 5 days I sweated profusely then got better. Then I was crusing along chewing Smoky Moutain wintergreen acting like a badass....then the bottom fell out. Week 4 and 5 I became very irritable and my cravings kicked in. It was brutal. These last few days I feel better. Oh no......it's not gonna easy just because Im on day 40. I take one day at a time and read lots of posts on this website. It has literally saved me!!

You've got to want it so bad there is nothing else that could keep you off the path to being quit. I hope he reaches that point before it's too late.

Nor7, if it is any consolation, each and every one of us was where you are now. And none of us are superhuman. You can get through this if you just follow the time tested rules of KTC: post your name/count/promise and then keep your word. One day at a time. Every day.

You are going to feel the withdrawal, but it's nothing you can't handle. You are going to feel craves, nothing you can't wade through (deep breaths!). You are going to want to rage at everything - bring that rage here. You are going to want to eat everything that isn't nailed down. Eat if you must - worry about the weight gain later. Right now you focus on your quit.

Water, hard candy, chocolate, exercise. Drink juices to keep your blood sugars even. And stay close to the boards and live chat on KTC for a while.

You can do this.

Just one and you will be back to where you started, and where you started was desperately wishing you were where you are now.

well hate to bust your bubble but it will take ALOT longer than 3 days for it to get easier! Bottom line is this, if your not focused and ready to quit 100% then just go grab you another can and don't even torture yourself for the next few days.

Nobody can quit for you EXCEPT you! This really is mind over matter. Its 95% mental and 5% everything else. If you set your mind to it then you can do ANYTHING and this is no exception.

You need to ask yourself how bad you really want to quit because theres nothing better than the satisfaction of quitting but nothing worse than the embarrassment of another cave and failed quit attempt.

This place will give you all the tools and help that you need to be successful, but you have to use them.

Good luck and let me know if I can help!
The BEST day to quit was Yesterday, the second best day is TODAY!

Day 1 - Scared
« on: March 21, 2017, 03:17:00 PM »
Hi group. I'm freaking out right now. I just threw away the rest of my stash (Grizzly Wintergreen). I have been dipping for over 10 years. I have quit before but now I feel like I am doing it for the right reason. As soon as I threw them away I got a knot in my stomach. I don't think this is going to be easy.

I read that after the first three days it gets easier?
