Thank you both for the reply. I am currently working on day two. I woke up this morning feeling much better but the late afternoons are the hardest and when my nausea starts. I am trying to keep busy so I don't have time to think about dip. I am drinking lots of water. My appetite is gone. I had to make myself eat lunch because I know I would later feel sick. Anyone else have that problem? My spouse thinks this will be a simple fix for me because I only dipped for six months. The fact that I am feeling sick is all in my head and not reality. I wish it were that simple. I have read a lot of blogs about cravings. I think I am lucky because at this point I don't want to get that shit near my mouth ever again.
I dipped 38 years been free for 581 days, you can do this, just depends how bad you want it
Just remember this...although you dipped for only 6 months, you're just as much an addict as pab who dipped for 38 years. In order for you to succeed, you need to go into this quit 110% balls to the wall; and it all starts with posting roll.

Congrats on the quit brother, not going to sugar coat it, its going to be a Hell of a ride, you are a smart man for quitting after only 6 months of use.
Only wish I had been that smart to quit early on.

I quit with you today
2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Today was day 1 for me. I only dipped for 6 months but I was using a can and a half a day. This freaking sucks. I feel like I am dying - the fog I assume, nauseous, wishing I would just vomit, diareaha, headache, not interested in anything, wanting to push everyone away. I hope day 2 is nearly not this bad. Is this normal?
Congrats on the quit!

Everything you are feeling is absolutely normal, and unfortunately, it will last about 72 hours. That is the amount of time it will take for your system to purge itself of nicotine. Stay Strong, post roll, and stay quit.

it gets easier everyday!
Quit: July 5, 2016 @ 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard

Change is not easy, you have to work for it everyday, all day, no matter what. I promise you though, embrace the change and positives will happen.

Anything is possible, given you want it bad enough...anything!

Hey Combat I see that your still lurking on the forums...if your military please PM me; I know how much the military enforced my dipping behavior. Everyone is here to help; but you need to decide how bad you want to overcome your addiction. Just look at your post man; your getting your ass punished to you by a plant.

Chances are you're going to come back here someday and read this to see if you can psyche yourself up to try again. When you do, read the links in my signature.

Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

It sounds like you need some more alternatives. I'm a sunflower seed guy myself. Find a flavor you really like. Google "Teaza pouches" they are green tea with caffeine and they come in different flavors. I love the mint. There are tooth picks that are cinnamon flavor, ice cubes, other brands of fake, beef jerky, actual dicks. Whatever it takes to keep yourself from dipping.

I gained 15 pounds when I quit because I couldn't stop eating. But you know what I told myself? Fuck the weight, I can get that off in a couple months, it's nothing compared to the concerns dip cause.

Confront your crave. Accept how bad it is. They pass. You got this. All of it is temporary. Don't let nicotine trick you when you have actual humans telling you it gets a million times better.

Combtmedic,
I don't know your age but I am guessing you are 20's/30's. In other words, you are me 30 years ago. How does being in your 60's, with heart disease, hypertension, missing teeth, and facing a mouth full of dental extractions and implants sound because you did not quit snuff and face your addiction head on. There are people here with much worse damage from nicotine than I.
Your 4 days quit is a significant step in the right direction. DON'T THROW IT AWAY! Do whatever you need to do to not use, ever!

Dude I am fucking going crazy. I want a spot of Copenhagen wintergreen to carefully place in between the lower areas of my right gums. I am dying inside. I want a dip so bad bro I cannot stand it. I have made it past the four day mark. I thought it would be easier. I need advice... I bought some smokey mountain but the smell makes me sick. I want the real thing.
Look dude grab your sack and man the hell up! Whoever told it was gonna get easier after four days is full of shit. The mental begins now. If you don't want this with everything got, you can hang it up. Drink water and then drink some more. Exercise and if it gets really bad, go over to your Chester drawers and ppen the drawer up, put your nuts in there and slam it. Guaranteed to get your mind off that whore every time! Quit on and learn to hate the shit!

Hang on one minute at a time. Monster craves will relax in a few short minutes. Get yourself occupied; drink water like a keg stand! Most importantly get your promise on roll and keep it! We are here to walk in lockstep with you. PM me for digits I am available to chat. The Calvary will come just relax, focus, deep breaths...and if all else fails open your closest dresser, insert the left nut, and slam drawer shut. Crave gone.
