Thank you kindly for your response.
I'm really not in the mind frame to quit "one day at a time" yet. I AM focused on quitting one hour at a time at this point, however. (almost 30 hours into this)
I hear what you're saying re: the booze. Thanks for pointing this out...it makes sense.
I do believe I could bludgeon a sack full of cute fuzzy creatures with a ball peen hammer right about now.
But if you did that, you'd have at least eight separate problems that I note all BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!! You'll see on this forum sometimes that 1 problem + Nicotine = 2 problems. Well, you have more than that!! Here's what I got. More can probably be added. (And yes, you're just like us. We could make the same lists about ourselves. I'm just getting yours started for you.)
1. You're in Puerto Rico and unable to enjoy it BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
2. You made an ass of yourself in front of your family BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
3. Your withdrawal right now sucks, and as you learn more about this disease of addiction, you could suffer the rewiring attached to quitting for as long as 18 months BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
4. If you kill a bag of small creatures, you could be charged with animal cruelty BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
5. You can't drink for a while BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
6. Biting a head off an iguana won't solve a freaking thing, its bones and teeth could actually damage your entire face as you bite through it, but right now you think it is somehow better than the alternative of going another hour without dip BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
7. You called yourself a slave BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
8. You spend between $3,650 and $5, 475 a year on something in which you will throw away 100% of BECAUSE OF NICOTINE!!
You let a plant infused with chemicals control your entire life. We did, too. Stop doing that. I'm 57 days clean and part of every day still sucks a little bit. Some days still suck from start to finish. But listen to EVERY SINGLE person on this forum that has made it 6 months, a year, 2 years, whatever. Not one will tell you they regret quitting. Not one. They all had to go through what you're going through now, and I'm not going to sugar coat it and tell you it's a ton easier after a month or two because it's not, but I know this much. Even if I'm depressed some days, I actually LIKE myself for the first time in my adult life. Stop letting this thing control you. You have a TON of support here to help you out. Join us.
