Day 3 is horrible. It is like eating a really really old can of sardines. Not pretty.

After you eat the old fish it seems like you will vomit forever. Like It won't ever end. Like the misery and pain is the new normal.

It isn't. It will get so much better. If I can help at all let me know. This is so worth it.

I promise.

Congratulations Jason for figuring out tobacco not only causes cancer but also a silent killer of the heart! I'm a 38 year addict. Been free for 314 days I had a heart attack 2 year's ago. Even after my heart specialist told me it was from nic I dipped for another year before I could quit and probably wouldn't be now without ktc and my brothers and sisters! Nic is a very powerful drug . Post roll ,early, edd ! I quit with you today!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Jason, congrats on your decision. Day 3 is peak physical addiction day-- you last with nicotine in your system. 3days quit is bad ass!

It will get better. You have some fog and craving ahead, along with the last of the suck you have been going through. But all that beats cardio damage requiring stents!

Drink lots of water, exercise. Avoid tobacco.

Check out the February 2016 quit group. Say hello, post roll, your promise not to use nicotine for one day. Repeat first thing tomorrow morning and every day after that.

Exchange digits with your fellow quitters, text or call before you surrender to nicotine again.

Read everything on this site, the hall of fame speeches, words of wisdom, intros, and cancer stories. Go to live chat to vent, or pass a crave with other quitters.

I quit with you today.
Holy shit Jason ... what a great decision! Listen to NoMore and the rest of these others that will chime in. Take this as serious as your life ... in many ways there is no real difference between following through with your decision today or having nicotine drive your decisions for the rest of your life.

If you can't quit after 3 days, you won't anytime soon. Get it done man! You the man!

Day 3
« on: November 06, 2015, 07:40:00 PM »
My name is Jason. I've been a user for 16 years.

Day three man. Holy hell. This shit is so bad I feel like I'm going to get fired. I feel like my brain quit working.

I decided to buy a can this morning. As I pulled into the parking lot, my mom called and told me my granddad was in the hospital getting stints. He was an avid tobacco user. At least it changed my mind.

I look forward to this journey now that I found this site.

Thanks guys!
