Hi all, caved on day 104 of my quit. Was drinking with some friends by the pool and had a cigarette. So i will now be starting a fresh 100.
Hmmm, plenty of drinkers don't cave. Are you saying that drinking caused the cave? If you weren't drinking would you have smoked?

Welcome, again, to Project Mayhem, Aggie. Great guys in our group, and some pretty stellar quitters getting our backs. As you get comfortable with the site, you should spend some time reading the intros and postings of some of the badass veteran quitters from the early days of their quits. You'll be inspired by the number of guys (and girls) that came before you with similar stories or more daunting odds. Reach out to them and your Mayhem brothers -- we're all in this together. Stay strong and quit on!

LAST MONDAY? Hey man the nicotine is out of your system by now. It is now your brain repairing itself...Anxiety is very popular in quitting and seems to be a trick our brains use on us to get more nicotine. There is a forum on here about anxiety and depression that might help to read...It does get better and I promise the anxiety will fade with time..but just keep posting your daily promise of you quit and day by day you will feel the Freedom we all enjoy by being QUIT.

i am 25 years old and started dipping my freshman year of college at Texas AM. I have attempted to quit many times before, once going 6 months without dipping. During that time, mostly the first month and a half it was pure hell, anxiety out the ass almost all the time. I dont know if any of you have had a panic attack before but it felt like i was having one almost 24/7. So after i failed after six months i was scared to try and quit again, until now, i am determined that last monday ( february 2nd 2014) will be the last dip i ever put in.
Welcome,

I am 25 as well and started my freshman year of high school. I just rolled 10 years when I decided to quit. It's a good place to get the help that so many of us need. Find a quit group and start posting roll. Make sure you post roll every day. If you really are ready then make it happen One Day At A Time. There are many people here to help you and many who will need your help as well. You got this and pm me with any questions and I will try my best to help. I am at day 86 and have never felt better to be quit and to take my life back. No more panicking when I get to work and realize I forgot to buy a can. It's all gone now and so on. As for the anxiety it will pass. But just focus on each day of your quit.
Martin
