Welcome to KTC. I merged you two Intros. Now, there is only one "Sodfather". Are you him?

Yes we read them Sod! and this is your 2nd intro thread, you should keep them all together in 1 thread. That way you can come back and read it later easier.

I see you posted roll, or pretty close to it! Great job, I quit with you today! Now get involved in your group, get to know a few of those fine folks in January.

If you need anything or have any questions just let me know.

Great job! Now stay quit. Join a quit group if you haven't, post everyday, be as selfish as you need to to stay quit, use as many people as you need to to make it your addiction to nic is poorly over already, now just to break that bad ass habit. I'm on day 180 and still posting roll!
Quitting' s easy. Done that a hundred times. Staying quit? Never done that past right now.

What up quitters! I never thought I would be so excited to be a part of a quitting fraternity, but damn!!! This feels good!! Just to introduce (whether anyone reads these or not) I'm 33 yrs old and live in Kerrville, TX. I'm a Texas Tech alum and build sports fields all over the state of Texas. I've been dipping since I was 18. Started with chew, graduated to dip over a decade ago. Been enjoying tobacco for 15 yrs, but feel guilty every time I look at my 3 kids when I have a dip in. It is so selfish that I keep dipping. However, it is also selfish that I quit dipping. Its about living....living well....not having 300 stored nasty spittoons in my trucks, closet, garage, or bathrooms....its about not being THAT GUY! You know THAT GUY....the one you say, you don't ever want to be like. Well, I gotta say, if you dip, you are THAT GUY to somebody! Maybe even several people. We have felt at peace with the world with our little juicy pacifiers all these years, spitting in public...ducking heads behind pallets at Home Depot to empty our mouths onto the floor where nobody will see it until they rearrange in a year. We shouldn't even be allowed to mingle with the common folk. Well, I plan on becoming domesticated. Sure I am much less pleasant to be around these days. I'm irritable, bug-eyed, walking around in a stupor muttering sentence fragments to myself; but by God, I'm nicotine free. Did I mention I'm selfish? Yeah, I feel better than I have in years because I'm winning my nicotine QUIT. Everybody hates me more, but I hate me less! haha. Its really not that bad. I'm consciously saying loving things to my kids throughout the day so my trial will not negatively affect them. Its not their fault their old man started dipping and god hooked. I'll be able to share this with my son later when he's faced with the choices of tobacco in a few years. Quit is going well, but I know the mental games have not even gotten started yet. Anyways, that's my story in a nutshell. Day 6, here I come.

my physical addiction to you is almost up asshole!
Glad to have you here Sod. Just one point to note, your addiction to nicotine is permanent. This is noteworthy only because weeks or months from now you may be feeling better, almost like you have kicked this thing, and you may convince yourself that you can have just one. This will never be true. You will always be addicted so never be able to have just one.
You've got a great attitude so keep up the good work and start posting roll.
Forgetting the misery of the first few weeks is what killed my best attempt at quitting. I had won. I didnt hurt anymore and felt confident about my powers of self control. So i celebrated by rewarding myself with a luxury tin. It was a treat for all my hard work over the past 40 days. It was the best buzz i got from chew in years. Yeah...one week later i was chewing more per day than before my quit. I was a retarded addict.
Now i am a smart addict.
Why? Because of this site. Use it, post roll, and dive in. You are stronger than you know.

  • Interests: I was addicted to nicotine for about 19 years before I actually realized that I was an addict to a drug. Allen Carr helped open my eyes with LionHeartedGirl (my sister). I am currently on day 2 and because of the frame of mind and different point of view that "The Easy Way" has given me, I don't doubt for one moment that I have ingested the last bit of that weed for the rest of my life. I am 35 now and am setting a goal of living long enough to have saved $100,000 because of my quit. At the same time, I am setting the goal of not smoking TODAY! One step at a time, while keeping my eyes on the horizon.

woo hoo...day 3 and cruising! I know a shitty day is coming, so gonna' come here every day. However, so far so good. Day one I had a headache for about 4 hours, and about an hour or two of incredible dizziness. Other than that, been pretty calm last 3 days. Spent money I've saved on killthecan shirt and coffee travel mug....spread the word and show off! Bring it on nicotine, my physical addiction to you is almost up asshole!
Welcome Sod. Get up into that Welcome Center (pink button- top left) and learn how to post roll, and why we post roll. That is the foundation of our quits.
Then, buckle up, the ride has only just begun.
Quit with you today
