All you quitters rock! Thanks to your support, Day 2 is flying by like a cool breeze.
Just remember to take it one day at time, minute by minute. The very second you get comfortable, nic is waiting to whisper her sweet lies to you again.

Welcome. Now the hard part begins. Your body is going to convince you that you still need the dip. But you came to a place that will help you and keep you accountable. It's kinda like the QB told the rest of the team in "Necessary Roughness" - "You're tired, you're hurting, you're bleeding, but I promise you when we get in that endzone, it'll be worth it" or something like that. That's how it'll be when you get to the HOF here. But it doesn't stop there. For me, I'm my following my quit to the grave.

Don't worry about the days or weeks ahead! You can't quit next week any easier than I can. But we both can quit today!!! I've been an addict for over 14,000 days and had several pauses from nicotine, but I always went back to the shit! Well the past 289 days have been different, each day I have come here and promised addicts that I wouldn't put poison nicotine into my body TODAY! IT WORKS! pm me if you need anything.

Welcome Paul, (sparky right?) I am in your April quit group. I look forward to seeing you there. Hang tough during "the sucks" for you know they are temporary.

The rest of this shit we will figure out together, one day at a time. There is alot of wisdom on this site, read, read, read, brother. The more you know about this nasty addiction the better you can fight it.

PM if you need anything. I quit with you today.

Officially 25 hours since my last dip. I'm ready to conquer this thing for good.

Only been dipping for five years on a daily basis, but smoked for many years before that. Moved from one directly to the other. Once I quit smoking, I never wanted another cig again. Dip is a different monster. I can dip at work, play sports, not annoy other people inside...which caused me to do it more often than I ever would have smoked.

I quit cold turkey a year ago from Thanksgiving Day until May, but I started again in full force. I fooled myself into being jealous of my buddies that were golfing and dipping, thinking about how nice it would be to have just one or two. Sure, that's what I did--have one whole tin in about eight hours. Then it was back to 1/2 or one whole tin per day until two days ago.

I'm going cold turkey again, but now I've got a special weapon:  you. Having "quit" nicotine a few times before, I know what to expect over the next few days. It's already not pretty, but I'm certain I'll make it. It's the weeks after which concern me.

Welcome bro.

Follow the Welcome Center link in the upper left. Read #4. Read it again. Commit it to memory. Understand why we do what we do. Then go to April 13 group and execute #5. Do it every day.

Every

damned

day.
