Keep it up brother, I've been quit for 4 complete working on 5 right now. One thing that I find that helps is the smokey mountain herbal snuff. Def. comes through in the clutch when those cravings hit.

Whitey-
Good Morning, you can do this. First few days are tough. Make a commitment each day by posting roll that you'll be nicotine free for just today. Worry about tomorrow when it gets here. Get on this site and check out all it has to offer in terms of educational material/links. Also post questions/thoughts when you need support.
Welcome

There's nothing nicotine has to offer that I need. Never has been, never will be.

Whitey...listen.

You need to quit for YOU. We all love our wives and children. We've all sworn we'd quit for them...when we get married...when the baby is born...when the baby turns 1...on our anniversary...etc. etc.

No way LOOT is saying that there have not been successful quitters that did it for family....but the vast majority of us have lied to and stolen from our families to feed our addictions.

Realize that you are an addict....addict. NowÂ…if you are seriousÂ…print this contract out and put it in your wallet along with a picture of your family. Swear to LOOT this day that youÂ’ll sign it, scan it, and e-mail it to LOOT if you fail.

Contract to Give Up by Hope

I give up my quit. Quitting is impossible and I cannot do it. I love dipping more than I love myself. I care about dipping more than I care about my personal health. I love dipping more than I love my family. I know this addiction will kill me, and I ACCEPT that fact. I enjoy spending time alone with my can more than I enjoy spending time with anyone else on the planet. I look forward to losing my jaw, my tongue, my throat, my life - it's worth it. When I am lying in my hospital bed fighting a losing battle against cancer I will feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that this is the path I CHOSE. My only regret will be that I didn't start dipping earlier in life. I will feel sorrow for my familyÂ’s heartbreak and suffer untold pain, but I know you must sacrifice for the things you truly love.
I know ALL the consequences of my actions and I accept them fully and without regret. I hereby choose to give my life to this addiction - I do so with a smile on face.

Great decision and committment. You have come to the right place.....NOTHING you go thru is new to anyone on this site....we have all been there...and know how you feel.

Head to August, Post Day 1, Introduce yourself and get involved.

August is turning into a HUGE group and already full of some great quitters.

Your wife and child will be extremely proud and are great motivators....ultimately, you gotta make this about you....Read everything you can and get friends and family involved for encouragement....do not expect them to understand...they won't....we do.

You can be angry, whiny, pissy excetra here.....we understand.....Look out for a guy named Jpine....he will eventually hit on you.

Welcome.
