Hello all,

Today is the first day that I plan to quit.  I have been weening myself off for the past two weeks.  I was going through a can a day for the past 4 years and currently have been going through a can every three days.  I'm excited and scared at the same time, but I believe that I can do it.
Congrats on a great decision. You have no idea how good this decision is, and it keeps getting better.

Good advice from Rangy, that stuff will keep you quit. I just wanted to clarify the statement "I believe you can do it." I'm gonna assume your saying that literally, instead of something your not sure of. You CAN do it. Today you have two choices: 1) CHOOSE not to put nicotine in body, or 2) CHOOSE to use nicotine. That is the good news - it really is that simple. The bad news is that the simple part is also difficult. The hard part is insuring that your brain doesn't trick itself into CHOOSING option 2. Make your quit easier by sticking close to KTC, jumping in with both feet, and posting roll. Read all you can here, and you will realize how much of a slave you have been.

It is hard, but you need to KNOW that you can do this. PM me if I can help in any way.
Taking control of your life will be a rewarding, scarey, hard and easy! Enjoy and embrace both the good and the bad! Check your inbox!

welcome my friend. check out the link at the top of the page "Welcome Center" as it will get you rolling on what to do. Life here at KTC is simple.

1. Post Roll (a promise you won't use nicotine in any form for the next 24 hours)
2. Repeat the next day.

One day at a time.

Congrats on your decison. Being quit is the best freedom ever.

stay quit and I am proud to be quit with you.
