The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Welcome Cap, I can't add much more other than to say you're doing the right thing by getting checked out, but all that checking out gets alot easier once you're quit  you know you won't have to worry about the future. Day 48 here  I'm still struggling to get well, but wouldn't turn back on this quit for anything.

Welcome to the site cap. I see below you have a lot of advice so I'll leave you in thought about all that. As for me,, i just wanted to talk to your master for a bit if you don't mind. If you do that's to bad, its apparent your not in control of anything.

I'm so glad I'm free from you poison. I love my new life without you in it. I hope my friend here sees you for what you really are before it's to late. I hope that he understand that you take until there is nothing left. It is sad to hear that my friend continues to suckle with you even though he is having medical issues that you have caused. He continues to love you more than himself, wife, kids and family. I hope that he sees that he could eventually lose part of his face, tonge, and jaw. I hope he understand that you may even take his life. I hate you poison.

As you were my friend. Continue with your plans to quit and I'll continue to be quit.

You didn't come here and ask that question by accident. You know you want to and need to quit so just quit. Dump the worm dirt and quit worrying about receding gums and rashes and everything else. I'm 8 days quit and at times it freakin sucks but the suck is worth it. Embrace the suck!

Are you gonna quit dipping, or are you gonna slide your tampon in?

Hello
Just a quick question.
I am currently a dipper, plan on quitting soon.
However just wanted to ask around here if any current/ex dippers experience skin redness under your mouth in the area where you hold your dip?
I've been dealing with what a dermatologist diagnosed me with as "perioral dermatitis" which is basically a rash around the mouth. It's not even really a rash just a persistant redness on my skin where I hold my dip (I switch sides all the time)
However I think it's really something to do with the pressure of holding a dip inside your mouth causing the redness on the outside of it. I dip a lot, unfortunately.
I've been looking at various pictures of dippers on dipper groups on facebook and notice 9 out of 10 of them have some sort of acne/redness around of their mouths. I see it in a lot of wintergreen/flavored dippers, not so much with Natural dips- like Cope LC
Anyone on here ever experience such a thing?
Thanks in advance
Hey, man. Collectively, this thread now has something like 80 years of experience with dipping, and we can't diagnose you. I think we all know that dip is extremely bad for you though. Could be anything going on with your mouth. Cancer for all we know. And here you are asking about acne and thinking that the flavoring is the bad part. Whatever. We hear that addict logic all the time.

Personally, I stopped talking about "soon" a year ago, and I quit all forms of nicotine cold turkey.

I recommend that you do the same. We'll help you.

Or, just keep wondering if it's the wintergreen in your carcinogens that is screwing with your health and making you want more.

razzd had all kinds of sores around his mouth. Turned out to be caused by too many trips the the truck stop bathroom...but I digress.

I'd recommend quitting now and worrying about the rash later. Now I'm not a doctor or really even that intelligent...but my $.02....your biggest problem is that you are addicted to nicotine. Dump your can now and get this going. When I dipped I was constantly worried about some crazy shit the dip was causing.....eating away my gums, high bp, random mouth sores, the list goes on.

Dump your can. Check out the welcome center in the top left. Post your word. Keep your word. Repeat
Quit: 3/23/10
