Hi my name is Jim and this is day 1 of quitting. I am a 31 year old ex military commercial diver/ EMT. It's really hard to quit because the environment im in. Does anyone know what I'm going through?? I'm doing this for me and need all the support I can get. Thank you kindly for your help.
Holy crap! Another "Theo"? Say it ain't so!

Well, from one Theo to another, I'm walking talking proof that this can be done. Like these fine gents are saying, just post role, give your word, and call me before you put nicotine into your system again (sending my digits to your inbox now).

Ok Theo - here's the deal. If you decided to quit as you described it... you need to make sure you are 100% in. Nothing makes a quitter more angry than a half-assed quitter "winging it."

Step one - throw away all nicotine you have. Dump it in the trash, then take a hot steaming piss on it to ensure you don't go dumpster diving.

Step two - READ. Don't just snoop around and find some interesting things on the forum... READ. ABSORB. INTERNALIZE. REALIZE THAT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS HERE IS FOR ONE REASON ONLY. QUITTING.

Step Three - Post roll EVERY DAY.

Step Four - Repeat Step Three EVERY DAY.

Make sure you can handle this. Becuase if you give us your word that you are quitting and you turn out to be a liar, you will hear from us. And it will get ugly. You asked for advice. I'm giving you advice. We don't fuck around here. Make sure you are all in. If you're just kinda half-in... well, read October 2011 from front to back.

You will find ALL of the resources you need to quit right here. Read intros. Read HOF speeches. Read about the Kerns. Shit if that doesn't make you quit nothing will.

It will not be easy. And we will not coddle you. We will support you and we will make sure that when you make your promise, you either keep it or pay the consequences.

I was a dipper since age 12. I'm now 38. I've tried everything. This is the ONLY method that worked for me. This WILL work for you. If you keep you word.

Read. And then read some more.

Congratulations for taking your life back. If you ever need anything, PM me. Welcome to the suck.
I'm ready for it, 100% ... I want to quit for ME .. nobody else .. i'm tired of having a crutch, a weakness if you will. I don't need need it!

The love you get here is conditional. The condition is that you are quit.

I help the next guy the way others helped me.

Now, you know what you're doing, too. Good to have you here.
