Jmann1,

Glad you are here. I feel like I need to address some of the statements you made.

I've quit before for months at a time then head out for a night out and start drinking and somehow end up bumming a dip off someone at some point. Or I smoke a cig and get the nicotine crave back enough to where I have to get a can.

You did not quit, you stopped.
How can you somehow end up bumming a dip? You made a decision to fill your lip up, now you have to make the decision to quit.
Will drinking adversely affect your quit? Only you can answer this one but alot of caves happen when people are out partying.

You are on the right track since you flushed your can. Learn how to post roll in the Welcome Center and then get over to July Quit Group and introduce yourself. Then read all you can. The first few days will be rough, we call it the suck, but you will make it. You need to embrace the suck and remember why you want to rid yourself of this poison. PM me if you need anything.

Getting this quit down
« on: March 30, 2015, 01:58:00 AM »
Hey all, quit yesterday. Broke it off with my girl two days back and spent yesterday tackling pinches every thirty minutes. Now I got a bad case of wrinkly gums and my mouth just feels like shit. I've quit before for months at a time then head out for a night out and start drinking and somehow end up bumming a dip off someone at some point. Or I smoke a cig and get the nicotine crave back enough to where I have to get a can.

I'm 23 and I used to be obsessed with my health. Hell, I'm in nursing school right now learning about all the bad shit I'm doing to my body. And I've just been ignoring it, usually studying the cancer and shit while I'm dipping. Talk about irony.

Anyway, I flushed the rest of my can tonight (although its not the first time I've done that) and I want to stay done this time. Was looking to get some added motivation. Thanks for all yalls help.
