Hi Nappers, Welcome, and glad to see you like the KTC website. Glad to hear about your decision to quit nicotine. Have you had a chance to stop over to April 2015 PreHOF group yet? There is a new group that just formed up. KTC requires that we post a promise (roll) to each other that we will not use nicotine today. We do that first thing when we wake. Next time you log in, stop by the Welcome Center . That will show you the whats and hows we function around here. Again, welcome and happy quitting in 2015!

4 day week, this drive to the store, this conversation, whatever works brah. I'm cruising through day 3, and have to say that yesterday was the longest day of my life. Wasn't tempted with caving, just attacked with slowing of time, since my goals are mostly time. By day 4 you should feel good in what you are doing enough to not shy away from coworkers. I was right next to a few guys who were throwing some dip around today, honestly, didn't feel bad about it. I came here to win, and haven't thoight of an exit plan like I have every other time I "stopped" dipping.

Thank you folks!

Not doing too bad! 4th day.

Little more information.....

February will be 21 years as a Correctional Deputy and most of us guys chew or smoked in the past. I had quit for a time and smoked but when I got hired here in '94, I started chewing again. I would panic upon entering the door if I wasn't sure I had chew.

I haven't had a chance to look over everything, my GF showed me the site. To which I thank her for it.

So..... I am laughing at myself, lucky for me, here at the klink, the customer is always wrong! 'no'

Actually the inmates or clients are easy, it's our co-workers that we have to deal with, each with their own Type A personality and craziness. It's a miracle that we passed a psych exam!

Thanks for the support. Will check in time to time and read up!

I don't miss it yet. I figured if I can get my 4 day work week without dipping I will be okay!

Congrats on a great choice, Nappers!!! Fight the grouch by embracing the suck. Learn to laugh at yourself for feeling so grouchy. Your body is throwing a fit for another dose of poison. But you KNOW that WILL lead to tongue/jaw removal, feeding tubes, chemo, cancer kazoo voice...and your death.

But you have an alternative...mutual accountability. If you can keep your word, then all you have to do is post roll. Read EVERYTHING you can on this site...then read it again. Learn about addiction...it will help you learn to laugh at yourself. It's okay, you're among professional dumbasses here. We ALL made stooopid choices. And we're all controlling it ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Don't think about tomorrow, next week, next year, etc. We'll deal with them when they get here. All you need to focus on is NO NICOTINE TODAY.

Congrats on the quit! Frazzled gave you the details.

My advice is start small. Post roll and then let it really sink in what that means. In essence, you're promising 20K+ people that you will NOT dip today. No matter what.

Try that the first few days. Post roll. Then remember that you've got 20K+ virtual brothers and sisters that need you to keep your promise as badly as you need them to keep their's.

Do whatever you have to do not to dip

Hi nappers, and welcome to the best decision you can make. You can check out this page to see that you are looking at coming up in the next few days and weeks.

How we quit here is very simple. You will go to the your quit group, which is April 2015 and you will post up a Day 4 in the New Quitters section. Details on how to do this can also be found in the Welcome Center. Your post, which you should do as soon as you get out of bed for the day, is your promise not to use nicotine in any form. Since you gave up your last dip on 12/26, you are on Day 4...which means you are almost through the worst of the physical symptoms. I encourage yo to go post roll and quit with us, and you will get support like you've never known.

By the way, we do not do luck here. We quit, plain and simple. Luck has nothing to do with out mindset here. rink lots of water, don't worry about staying away from food. Eat everything in site if it keeps you Quit.

Quit on.
