hows it going everyone i just wanted to come back and tell everyone that even tho i have not participated in roll call and what not i and with in 7 days of my 100 days and i feel great!!. I have done a lot better then i could have every imagined. Even better all of my best friends due to my success have also quit on  january 1 2012 and i could not be any prouder of us as a group of friends.
big sigh of relief on this one. i, for one, am very happy you are quit. sincerely i am. i belong to a lot of different groups around the web. i don't really share much about my life other than my obsession with quitting nicotine and the wonders of feeling the power of freedom every single day. there is one site that i use more often which really seems to resonate with the members. they seem to get it. i suggest you check it out: Great Orange Panties On Sexy Tarts Riding On Large Lizards

Just tell them the "Ole Horny Soul" sent ya.

hows it going, My name is Scott Marshall and i live in northern VA i Decide to quit dipping a couple days ago due to the fact that i just did not want to go the the gas station and buy a tin before work. So i went on to work and had alot of time to think about it and i decide i wanted to quit and have been dip free for 2 and a half days. my biggest concern is that i have close friends around that dip and how do i go about getting them to understand that things are going to have to change if that decide they want to dip when hanging out with me? thats it for now i loooking forward to getting to know other people that have quit and receive help in my journey to kicking this horrible habit.
Good to have you here, Scott. My situation was eerily (pun intended, it's Halloween) similar to yours. All of my childhood friends that I began chewing with are still going at it. Over the past week plus, it has been difficult to tell them no, and for them to understand. But as stated before, perhaps just how close of friends they are needs to be reevaluated if they struggle to understand your choice.

Regardless, just know that it is possible if you just stick to the rules and the procedure and roll one day at a time. A Week ago I was in literally the exact same boat as you, and now I'm 8+ days free. As modest as that seems, I couldn't be fuckin happier.

Congrats and best of luck to you. Bunches upon bunches of people ready to reach out should you need it!

It's not a habit. Nicotine ADDICTION is the correct term.

Took me a while to realize that.

Scott, we all started and we all will quit.
You have quit...the only 'will' is the backbone you have in making that decision. Before you know it you'll have quit balls of steel swinging around in your fun zone.

Scott, we all started and we all will quit. I like the idea of controlling when. It is not easy. It is not fun. Fact is this first week sucked. One of my friends who chews just asked me, "why, what's the point, I quit before and it did not matter".

I think we know why, I made it 7 days today. You can make it too.

Congrats, start posting roll. Take this one day at a time. Do you know how?

I have friends that smoke/chew too. What happens is you will end up hanging out with other people who don't use nicotine over time. It is almost inevitable. It's like me and girls that just want to be friends. Eventually over time I wont hang out with them anymore. Surround yourself with strong people, you need it now more than ever. When you are strong, take your friends on this quit journey you have undertook. That way you can leave this Earth in better shape than when you got here and improve some lives.

Good on for you taking your life back. Go and check out the pink link at the top left corner. It'll show you who we are and how to post roll.

I quit dipping 49 days ago today. One of the hardest and best decisions that I've ever made.

You just gotta tell your friends that you quit. If they're not going to respect your decision than they don't much seem like friends to me. What's more important to you- hanging out by yourself for a bit so you can quit or being around people that may or may not bring you down back to the habit.
