Congrats on the decision to quit! You have a new quit brother in May 2017, USAHISTORYGEEK. Get into your quit group and post this stuff. Your group is where your home will be. Get to building your home!

You can do this!

Howdy Folks,

I just quit i guess on accident. I have been dipping Cope wintergreen and Grizzly Wintergreen over the past 10 years. Damn I cant believe its been that long. I have quit off and on but not for longer than a few days. I guess they were more of just an intermission between dips. Any way I just got a new position working 3rd shift and after being up for 30 hours straight I had my last dip on my way home from work yesterday. I really have no idea why I decided to quit but hell I am taking the opportunity to do it for good. I really want to quit just to be free as I have already read on these forums. I am ready to quit but My biggest obstacle I know will be the headaches. That is usually what causes me to throw in a horseshoe and grab a Dr.Pepper. I am am going to quit with the help of this group and some smokey mountain wintergreen herbal snuff. Any questions comments or words of advice are welcome!
Welcome to KTC! Its gonna suck for a few days, then get better. drinks lots of water, then drink more water.

Also go post roll (a daily promise to use no nicotine for 24 hours) in the April 2017 quit group. Do this every morning when you wake up.
Glad to see you on roll, Quittn. Like NoMore said, lots of water. Exercise helps too. Take it easy on alcohol until you're comfortable with your quit. Keep posting roll every morning which is your promise to stay nicotine free. You've got a bunch of quitters supporting you! Ask questions if you have them, we've all been right where you are.
Thanks. I just got home from the gym. And have been trying to force liquids. I am not a big drinker so that won't be a problem but I am starting to a non repenting mild headache. I am guessing this is normal?
I am on day 6. Headaches are what have gotten me in the past. I decide to take 800mg of Ibuprofen every morning for the first 3 days. I did not have any headaches and stopped taking the ibuprofen on day 4. So far no headaches. doesnt do anything for the brain fog you will have, but we can all deal with that. Glad you quit.
He who has a why can bear almost any how.
