Hey Bob Villa,

Great choice on the life change. This place can offer you tons of support. I see you've posted roll for a couple of days and that is the best, first step. Don't be afraid to look around here. Get involved. Read as much as you can, and don't hesitate to reach out to ANYONE here if you are struggling, or need help. These people here understand you more than anyone else you'll meet today. Promise.

Lots of solid advice coming to you from fellow quitters. Read everything on this site from HOF speeches to other quitter intro's etc. This quitting nicotine thing isn't for the birds. It will be one of the hardest yet rewarding things you've ever accomplished dude. I'll quit w/ you any day...

Buckle up for Day 2 and 3 Josh. Detroit is no joke, so be safe as well.

Welcome my December brothers! I'm on Day 5 and, yes, it still sucks but it sucks less every day.

Feel free to PM me and I'll send you my # if you want to text me.

There is no way I could have made it through the first 72 hours without spending hours every day on this site. It works! Also, I never could have made it a night without giving up the booze. I would have thought going alcohol free would put me in the hospital but it hasn't been an issue.

I want to quit chewing. I will quit chewing. I know if I drink a beer I won't stop until 12. Been that way for years. If I get to 3 drinks I know I will cave and buy a can. That is not an option and I'm scared to take a drink my quit is so important to me.

Embrace the suck! It gets better and I quit with you both today!

Josh, I just quit yesterday. Grizzly wintergreen was my dip of choice as well (Kodiak was too expensive). Best of luck and stay strong! Chris
Chris, great job throwing support, but you need to post roll call, too. You and josh can hold each other accountable. Be quit buddies.

The accountability starts when you post roll Josh. We don't believe you are quit till you post your daily promise in Dec 14.

If you will embrace KTC and make the decision to quit just today, post roll and keep your word........then you will win. Listen to the quitters here and follow their lead. Don't make up your own rules to quit, just follow our blueprint. It is proven. I'm an addict and I chewed for the better part of 22 years. If I can do this so can you, but you have to be honest with yourself and a man of your word.

Great decision Josh. Now buckle in for the ride. Most people never get off first base. But I have this feeling you are pissed if. And you want to quit bad. Let it be done. It will suck for a while, then it won't. You can do this. we have your back.

Clean and Healthy Living
« on: September 06, 2014, 10:06:00 PM »
Guys,

I've been thinking a lot lately about clean and healthy living. Minimal booze, eating shit that grew from the earth, working out. On all of these, I've been successful. But Grizz Wintergreen is killing me.

I'm in federal law enforcement... and every god damn day I go to work in Detroit and I see the worst people have to offer. I'm an Army vet and saw the same in Iraq when I was twenty. And that's where all the bad habits started. Every time anything bothers me, or I get bored, or I eat lunch, I grab a dip.

So I sit here, quit day today. Excel tells me my 100 day mark is 12/15/2014. The point of this introduction is this: Accountability. That is what this forum provides. I will be present for roll call tomorrow. Thank you for making me accountable.

Josh
