Thanks for the good words from all....I had no clue so many people keep up with this on such a regular basis. Yes to all corrections.....I WILL quit this addiction . Been reading up on the roll call, I'll do that as soon as I figure out how! I know I'm in the Sept. group. I'll be out of town for a week or so, and will try to figure out how to do it from both tablet and phone. Thanks again to all.
It isn't that hard to figure out, I'm your age and not real computer literate but I posted roll my first attempt a couple years ago and always look at comments by addicts saying how hard it is to figure it out as a way of leaving the door open. You have lots of options; normal computer, phone or other device posting along with calling or texting a fellow quitter your promise and have them post for you. Let's get it done.

And....lets make sure we call a spade a spade here. It is NOT a habit. It is an addiction. Wait til day 3, the suck will prove it.

Glad you are here!

Fix this: "This time I intend to WILL cease and desist the habit for good."

Here's the way it works.
1) post roll every day as a promise you will not use nicotine in any form for the day (you're in the September group topic/10291235/)
2) Honor your word
3) Read up on the forum and get connected with other quitters. Accountability is huge.

20th Time Quit?
« on: June 20, 2014, 03:22:00 PM »
I'm 58, retired from 35 years of high school teaching. I was laying in bed on Tuesday morning June 17, 2014, listening to my favorite sports guys on my phone app. They opened the morning news with Tony Gwynn's story, and a flush went through my body. My wife of 32 years was getting ready for work, we are approaching the time in our lives when we can enjoy retirement together; life is good. And..... I've been chewing Red Man off and on for 30 years. More so ON these days, as I adjust to the extra time on my hands as a retiree. After that body flush, something just came together inside my head to do something about chewing once and for all.

I've tried to quit many times. 20? 30? Sometimes I've been successful for a few days, a few weeks, a few months. Always came back. This time I intend to cease and desist the habit for good. Glad I found this website.
