Got a doctors app on dec 1st to get checked out I am scared outta my mind.....I feel ok but I still have the acid reflux acting up. I still hope I was not to late in my quit but that nagging feeling of (your to late) just wont go away. Well I am on day 19, I have no desire what so ever for a chew. I am so quit and so mad at myself for not quitting sooner in my life (what a dumbass) I so hope I am ok but I just dont know, any body else go though this?
You can't change the past, so give up on the wooda, shoudas. You are making a difference today! You will face today like a man and handle your shit. Tomorrow will come but you have to focus on today. Stay strong and I quit with you today!

Roadkill 32 years is a long time, I know because I dipped 38. Life will NOT be as you remembered it with your best friend "little tin". It will take some time but your brain will start to re-wire , oh my friend you will see things and understand them so much clearer ( sounds crazy but 6 mnths or a year down the road, come back in here and read this, you will smile! ) You will get your wind back, your blood pressure will drop, acid reflux will get better but I would suggest you see a doctor and see if it(dip) has messed up the lining of your throat , if so you will need reflux med to help. You will never regret QUITTING! Damn proud of you! Remember buy into posting roll early and every damn day it is the key to success, I'm echoing what 100 percent of the quitters will tell you! Quit on! I'm a pm away, 24-7 !
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

I am ok my friend knows I am quitting and supports it, even if I begged for it he would not give me any....he has been my friend my whole life and would do nothing to put my quit in jeopardy. I hoping to inspire him to quit also.

I like the above advice! Remember it is never too late to quit. Also remember you can never get a day back from the chew.....everyday you are quit is a victory in itself.
Waking up without that feeling that you NEED poison in your mouth is freedom my man. You will get there by adding +1's every single day. You don't have to feed your addiction for one more minute, start feeding the freedom!
"Fuck nicotine dude. You don't need it. And you don't want it. It didn't do a thing for you and you know it." - worktowin
"today you dissided that shit wont control your life. and it wont. unless you let it." - drome
"Not thinking about nicotine is for people who've never used nicotine. We threw that option away with the first dip or drag on a cigarette. We are addicts, and cannot become un-addicted." - wildirish317
"You need to decide how much you really want to be quit." - pky1520
We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597

Is it safe to assume that you will not have internet access on this camping trip? Will you have cell phone service? If so swap digits with some folks in your February group and text in your roll every day. You should swap digits with them anyway so that you can hold each other accountable.

If your friend puts his can in your hand after you've told him that you have quit, pour that shit out and grind it into the ground with your foot and hand the empty can back to him. He won't offer you a can again after that.

Hey Steve! Congratulations on a great decision.

Listen man, I had horrific issues with acid reflux too. While I'm not a doctor, nor am I saying my experience will for sure be yours, but quitting the dip simply stopped those issues I was having altogether. No more feeling like I had a softball in my throat, or hiccuping up acid. I sincerely hope this ends up being a benefit of your quit, as well.

Also, please follow the link that Mike shot your way! Posting roll call is not only another great decision, but it is extremely helpful in quitting. There is more comfort than I can describe in seeing a list of real people out there going through the same thing you're going through. It will get better if you stick with it, though. That much is certain.

excellent Steve, congrats on making the right choice.

This place is a support forum and that support is based on quit groups. Your quit group is here: topic/11383298/1/

Get on that train and post roll every day. Posting roll is critical to strengthen your commitment to your quit.

On the acid reflux--quitting dip will help. SMC and fake chew can cause acid reflux, so you may not get the relief you are looking for immediately, but it will get better. Quitting dip helped me with that.

Proud to quit with you today.
Man up and be a quitter ODAAT. Post Roll EDD. It works.

EDD: Every Damn Day

Hello all my name is steve and have been a chewer for 32 years, last sunday I said that's it I am done with this. I have quit caffeine also. I have acid reflux and decided to just quit everything that can cause it to act up. I quit the caffeine 3 weeks ago before the chew. I am hoping this does the trick but either way I am done with the chew. I am using the smokey mountain stuff and that I got to say really is helping, I am not feeling to bad at this time it is day three and I will not chew today! I hope I have not quit to late in my life I hope for a brighter future........
