Hey guys. I"m 23 and I have been dipping since I was 17. Today I decided I have had enough with copenhagen and began a nicotine free life. Wish me luck.
Welcome aboard Tex, I dont want to wish you luck, I want to see you determined to get rid of this nasty habit. Do or do not. That is the motto to stick by. Post roll, keep your word, repeat. Daily.
Congrats on your decision to take control of your life. Oct12 welcomes you with a word of caution... We have a lot of work to do together, the road is paved but full of potholes. Stay the course, heed the advice of the vets, get to roll call 1st thing every morning. Get as many names and #s as you can.

Immerse yourself in the site as the 1st 3 days will be a bitch. Feel an urge, get to the site, get on the phone, get in chat, get some balls, you will not cave.

PM me for some contact info.

Glad to be quit with you today, now, get to posting roll!
Tex no luck involved you quit your addictive behavior by pure and simple willpower and commitment!! Don't be a pussy, post roll, promise to not use nicotine for the day, Keep your word and come back the next day and repeat!! That is real simple most days. Then there are days it takes more than balls and guts it takes being a man of integrity!!
Welcome to the house of quit. The home of nic raging, drama, success and victory.

You are smarter than me for quitting at such and early age. However with my experience, let me impart some wisdom to you.

First: This is hard but the plan is simple. Listen and follow the vets. Some of the simplest things you do here will guarantee you stay quit. Post Roll every day. Never miss, keep your word and repeat! Only quit for today and stay quit today. If you wake tomorrow repeat.

Never think you don't need to post roll. YOU DO. Never quit forever or think of quitting past today. Never. (Yes I just said that but repeated so you realize how important it is.)

Second: Start talking on the site. Use this intro as your journal. Document how you feel, what you go through and this will be a way for your group to get to know who your are and how they can support you.

Trade numbers and promise yourself that when a crave hits you and no matter how bad you want a dip, you will always text or call your support to put the crave in perspective. Yes you may not want to call because the dip is so inviting and you already know what your support will say. Call anyway, you still have the final say in your choice to quit or cave, just give your support an opportunity to go through the struggle with you.

Third: Don't look at the nic bitch with fondness. You broke up with her and the decision is made. Never second guess that choice. You quit and nicotine is now an enemy. You can not glamorize, respect or adore your past with her. It was all a lie and a crock of shit. For every day you were enslaved to her, that should piss you off that when she comes calling, you knock her the hell out without thought or care. You hate the bitch. She is an enemy to you, your loved ones, etc! You want her dead and you want the tobacco industry to fail! They have killed enough!

Fourth: Embrace the suck. You will be in pain but feel happy? You may cry but laugh at the same time. It is great to be quit but fighting for freedom hurts. Acknowledge that you are an addict. You can't cure addiction but you can treat and control it. Never think you have it beat. Always post roll and be ready to fight your demons. Even if it hurts, freedom from vice is better.
