This is what was posted and there is my response. I didn't say hey go pick up another form of nicotine. I think what I said was spot on to help a guy out. Yes I said dip free because I figured explaining my situation to a new day 1 guy would discourage him so I put im over two weeks dip free which Is 100% the truth. I hate when people put words in my mouth.

Hey Guys deciding to quit dipping. My girlfriend wants me to quit and I really care about her so I need to. Any advice? I had my last dip about ten minutes ago and I'm ready to quit. It's gonna be a rough ride because all my friends dip. But feel guilt every time I put one in. I'm happy I found this site and hope it can help me overcome my addiction

Throw away all the dip cups, bottles and cans you have in the house and vehicle. Next, load up all your empty, half full and full cans and throw them away. Take the trash out. Make it so no matter how bad the craves get you will not fold. You cant fold. Everytime you think about how bad you want a dip think about losing your girlfriend. Imagine your girlfriend LOSING YOU. Fuck that shit. My wife didn't like it either, I did it for myself. Everyone does it for their own reason. I commend you for quitting but don't come here and say youre quitting just to start back up again tomorrow when shit hits the fan. IT wont be easy. AT ALL. But we are here to help you bud. Anything you need you can ask. PM me if you want. Im a little over two weeks DIP FREE. It was tough but I got through it because of the guys on here that helped me. Good luck and DO WORK! FUCK DAT BITCH
Looks encouraging to me. Glad you are encouraging others, definitely keep it up.

I try to be careful with my verbiage when talking with a new quitter and helping them get on board. I always say I've been free of nicotine for X days or weeks. I don't say dip free or even tobacco free(that leaves outs in addict minds). Let's help them take nicotine off the table. I don't want them to try to take an easy route.

All's I'm saying is make sure to stress that nicotine is the drug that we are all addicted to. Some newbs look for the easy path cause their addict minds need an out clause.

Keep up the good fight brother.
I understand what you are saying and I agree. What I said was neither right or wrong. I just didn't want to discourage the new guy. Just wanted to get him through the first day no matter what!! Quit on
Cool.

I do wish the forum (welcome center) was a little more clear and up front (maybe big bold letters somewhere) on the zero tolerance for nicotine aspect. I do think that should be clearer. We do get a lot of confused new quitters in here.

But I shouldn't complain, this program has worked wonders for me and I wouldn't have made it this far without KTC.

Bk you just posted over in general discussion that you had quit dipping for over 2 weeks.

IT DOESNT MATTER WHEN YOU LAST USED DIP IT MATTERS WHEN YOU LAST USED NICOTINE!!!

GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS.
Dude hop off my dick! Seriously! I was trying to help out a new day 1 quitter. What you want me to be like oh you can do it.....but I caved? fuck no! I was trying to be encouraging. Get over it geez. Its not the end of the world! Youre going to be ok!! I promise!!
Bk, it is extremely important that you make sure your messaging is correct. We have zero tolerance for any nicotine use. It will always be that way.

I didn't even read what was said. But it is very important that every newbie that comes in here understands that this a zero nicotine program.

You came in and created a shit storm but you're still here, still posting roll. Best thing you can do is post roll every day ODAAT and watch the days stack up. Be true to yourself and there will be no regret. Regret sucks big time.

Bk, good work and good call sticking with avoiding all Nicotine. Most of us on here have probably "quit" a few times before with Nicotine gum or some other form, and it turned into nothing more than a momentary cessation. I am finally starting to feel better and feel like I can go about my day and not think about dip. It's amazing, because I was just like you described- dip at dinner, spit cups everywhere, I would even dip in bed, sometimes fall asleep and have it still in in the AM. Nasty, I know.

The other day I was at my buddies house and they were all smoking cigars. I don't know how I would react to being so close to it, and I know I am getting stronger, but I am still an addict and was not willing to take the risk so I literally sat in a chair about 50' away.

Without quitting ALL nicotine, cold turkey, I don't think many people actually quit dip.

We are glad you are here quitting with us.

BK, if there was a pedestal of transgressions you would rank pretty low on it. And if there was a pedestal of repercussions you would rank pretty high on it. Yet, you are still here counting your days like the rest of us. I cannot tell you how happy I am that you're still quit with us today and I'm looking forward to seeing you in the HOF.

I quit like fuck with you every day.
I thank you for the kind words. Lets do this.

Bkmcinty
« on: August 28, 2014, 07:36:00 AM »
Hello gang. Today we are going to dig a little deeper in the mind of Bkmcinty. I started dipping when i was 18 years old. It was the cool thing to do. I tried it once and I was hooked. I started dipping kayak grape. YUCK. Then I eventually switched to skoal apple. MORE YUCK. I finally switched to grizzly mint and dipped that for about 8 years. I didn't go anywhere without my grizz. ANYWHERE. I would go out to dinner and dip at the table. I would ask for a plastic cup AT THE TABLE. It was ridiculous. I would go to the movies and take an empty water bottle with me. I would make late night gas station runs when I ran out. It got to the point where I couldn't live without it. The very first thing I did in the morning was wake up, take a piss and put a dip in. So one day I just said to myself I DONT NEED THIS. I don't need this ball and chains tying me down. I'm stronger than this! So I decided to set a quit date. I told my friends and my wife I was going to quit on August 10th. Them not believing me only made me want to prove them wrong MORE. August 9th rolls around and I threw away every spit cup, bottle, can I could find and took all the dip out of my house and car. I woke up August 10th reaching for a can. It was hard. I went to work craving and went to my good friend google. I found KTC. I instantly logged onto the live chat and met a few guys that explained to me how the site worked and help me a little with what I was going through at the moment. I was in the fog BAD. I had a mind splitting head ache most of the day and went home early because I couldn't even concentrate on getting any work done. So I make it to the weekend. I am super proud of myself! I was dip free for the first time in years!! I go out for a drink. My friend offers me a black and mild. I take a puff. It tasted like shit. IT wasn't until a week later that I mention to a member on chat that I took a puff and realized that was a cave. In my mind it wasn't a cave and I argued until I was blue in the face. I came here to quit DIPPING. In all fairness it is called killtheCAN. So I got my ass reamed. By a lot of members. Then I had a handful of members contacting me and telling me how many shitbags there were putting me down and not to listen to the jackasses of the site. But I couldn't help it. I had to listen. I realized they were trying to help. Maybe not In the best way. No, DEFINATELY not in the best way. But deep down I think most of them were trying to help. So I had to start my quit day count over. It SUCKED. I had worked so hard to prove that I could do this just o be kicked in the face and stepped on. Well, no more. It will not happen again. I realize you guys are in here battling for your lives. I respect that. I've never missed a day of role. I think that says something about myself that I am here for a reason. I am here TO QUIT. Good day.
