Matthew - have you read the information we've all given you? Do you understand what posting roll is?

Day 3. Boom. Feel good. No mas nicotine for me. -- this is a status update. It's great you're on day 3 and all. But we're not just a social club for you to whimsically pop in and out with a status update. Read the information in all the posts on your intro and post roll every morning.

We can help save your life starting today - ball is in your court now. It's up to you what you do with it.

Hi, my name is Matthew and I have been dipping for about 14 years at 1- 1/2 cans per day. I think this is my 4th time trying to quit. I just hope this will be the last time. I am truly sick of paying so much money towards dip. Anyway, this is day 1. And going strong. Feeling a little cranky but I guess I'll just go pump iron for a hour or so. I am new to this site and I hope it can help. Thanks.
"think"
"hope"
"guess"

These are all words that you used in your intro. Sadly, they are all words that lead to failure when it comes to quitting.

Hoping is not a strategy that leads to success.

You CAN quit. You WILL quit.

Matthew,

Glad to have you aboard buddy. Let's get some housekeeping issues out of the way first. Make sure that you post roll every damn day, your life depends on it, and your quit brethren depend on you. Second, addict bullshit speak is not welcome here. You aren't "trying" shit, you are either quit or you are not. Look at it from a very small window though. You always post roll that you are quit for today, but it doesn't stop there. There will be times when you have to reach out to your quit brethren and promise to be quit for the next 12 hours, for the next 6 hours, for the next hour, hell even the next 10 minutes. You may have to quit 10 minutes at a time for an hour until you can get through the crave, but trust me it is worth every minute. Around here, "hope" doesn't exist, we CREATE an environment for quit. We do it within ourselves and through our quit brethren. There is never a reason to use tobacco or nicotine again, you are this far through the quit, do whatever it takes to stay that way. If you need digits of someone to text when you are in a shitty spot shoot me a PM and I'll be there for you. But I'll be damned if I accept anything less than 100% in your quit.

Matthew - you've been back to the site today after we've all offered you help (Last Activity Today, 5:01 AM). I don't see you on the September roll, and I don't have a PM from you requesting a phone number.

What are you waiting for? You ready to quit bro? Or, you waiting to get that last dip in that can give you cancer or hook you for another 4 years.

topic/10291235/

check that shit out - all guys that decided to quit like fuck in the last few days... they have the fucking balls to step up and choose life over death. You can do the same and join these guys in freedom from nic.

Matthew, while "hope" is something to be filled with it does not belong on KTC. Hope, try, maybe, this time, ......etc... all need to be replaced with I will, I am, and not today. We are quit, we are not trying to quit. We are quit, we do not hope to quit. We are quit today, not this time. Killer attitude Matt, killer attitude is what it takes to quit. dig deep down and get your fight on brother and we got your back.

Welcome Matthew! KTC is the place to be if you really want to be quit. KTC is cold turkey quitting...no nic or tobacco of any kind. Quitting is hard, especially after 14 years, in my case 33 years, but you can do if you have made the decision to be quit. The first week is hard and you need to realize your quit will be the most important thing in your life at least for the first few weeks. Embrace it and never go through it again! Also, as stated above, HOPE is not going to cut it. You need to just DO IT!

First off... welcome! If you're serious about quitting KTC is the place to be.

Second... we don't HOPE to quit here. We quit like fuck here. Every damn day. So you need to remove that bullshit hope word from your vocabulary. You either quit or you don't. Don't hope to make this your last quit, just fuckin DO IT! Make the choice now... Choose to quit, we're behind you all the way.

As everyone else said... Read over the welcome center. Post roll every day, as early in the day as possible (no excuses here), wake up 10-15 minutes earlier to post roll. That's your promise to us and to yourself that you will not use nic of any kind (chew, gum, lozenge, patch, etc..) for 24 hrs. Honesty is everything here, to us and more importantly honest to yourself.

Start getting phone numbers from your fellow quitters in your September quit group. Build your web of accountability. We will hold you accountable and we expect you to hold us accountable as well.

Follow the instructions everyone here gives... But most importantly do not put that poison in your face. Do something else, anything else. If you can promise that, I'll quit with you today.

PM me if you need a phone number or anything...

We quit one day at a time here. This site can help,I dipped for over 20 years 1+cans per day. I am on day 397 today thanks to this program. Read all you can on this site and start in the welcome center and post roll. It's our promise not to use nicotine in any form, then all we have to be is men of our word. If I can you can. Go post roll in your group and get this quit sured up.
Yep, posting roll is all you really need to do.
I really needed to work out, a lot, the first few days. It was the only time I felt normal. Just keep at it.
Get some fake chew in a few days, helped me a lot.
But bottom line, if you want to quit, just quit. Post roll, meet some quitters who have all gone cold turkey. Theres no magic trick.
I dipped 20+ years, ended up at 2 cans a day (go big or go home), and I had several stoppages b4 I found this site... Been quit for just over a year now b\c I found KTC and started chugging the kool-aide. Read everything here and follow the plan... it works. You don't need the poison; you never have. PM me if you need anything.
