Glad to see you have made the right choice. Not hiding from your wife should be additional fuel for your quit fire. You don't remember what the freedom is like, because the nic bitch has had such a strong hold on you. You'll find that not only will your wife be much happier, but you as a person will be more happy. Stay strong and reach out when you need help. Don't give in. When the fog gets heavy, KTC will clear the way.

I have been quit over half a year, and my wife is just now coming around to trusting me that I am quit. 12 years married plus 1.5 dating spent lying to her about quitting can make a person distrustful. Quit now and when you are married for 12 years she'll never bring it up.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Yea, last pinch was Friday afternoon and have been dying for one since then ha ha. I want to know what it is like to not be controlled by some inanimate object. Ready to fight the good fight day in and day out.

MC, listen to what Doc is putting down for you. Attempting to quit for someone else will result in just that, an attempt.

And so is your approach to fighting this addiction. What you need to do is man up, grab your balls, unfuck yourself and get ready to fight this addiction everyday for the rest of your life. Have you quit?

After reading through my post I can see how it came across like that. The reason I am quitting is for myself, just a perk that I would no longer have to hide it from her.

Hey everyone, I have been dipping for going on 6 years now. My wife and I started dating over 3 years ago and have been married for almost a year. She knew I would dip and never cared for it so I told her I would stop. Never looked into finding help and would just never quit, I would only hide it. She would find cans or spitters and I would tell her I would stop, and maybe I did for 12 hours or so, but that wouldn't last long. She recently found 2 spitters pretty close in time with each other and she is really worried about what else am I hiding. The truth is nothing else is being hidden or she would have discovered it be now. Obviously my short term memory is horrible because I forget where I leave my spitters. Anyways, I was reading through this forum and made that decision to quit. Looking forward to the support I will be receiving and looking forward to showing support to others.
Hi Coch. Glad you are here and the decision to quit is wise. Unfortunately, you can't do this for her. It won't work. You've got to do this for yourself. It's great if she is inspiration and support but this has to be something you need to do for yourself. Once you decide that you want to quit for you let me know.
