Hey all, JT here.

Well, let me see know. I'm 39 years old, 5'8'', muscular build....like long walks on the beach....used to like putting crap in my lip and spit into a cup. Seriously, I've been waiting for this day. July 7th (today) is day one and I'm excited to find a group of people that I can talk to about this. I'm turning 40 in Nov and I want to be in the HOF by then!

For years, I never really tried to quit. I tried to stop, not quit. Now, I'm quitting. I'm going to go through some weird ass feelings, grumpy ass days, and some dizzyness (like now!) but I'm taking it all in stride. Gotta be done to be quit. I've drank the KTC koolaid and like it. I'm all in.

That's me. I'll need help in the next few days for sure so I'll be in the chat room. I'm hoping that I can be the one providing help later this year.

Thanks KTC!
jt
I too am 39 and turn 40 just after you in dec. I am on day 435 today and it still gets better each and every day that I win over nicotine. I win each day, one day at a time, because I post roll and then keep my word. And I am one of thousands that do the very same thing that make up this bad ass brotherhood. My point is you will find you will find that you have so many similarities with others here on KTC. The similarity that brought us all here together is we are addicts that are taking our lives back. Congrats for taking your life back.
sums it up nicely......well said sir

been where you are.....as have we all.....

today....post roll and lets deal with today.....by whatever means necessary, keep your word.

If I can help in any way.....shoot me a pm and sing out.

Great start.

Welcome aboard sir! You're in the right place. As others have said you've got to want it and it certainly appears from your intro that you do. Congrats on a great decision to take back your freedom!

KTC is a great place that can offer a ton of support - it's not free though, the price of admission is your word. You pay by giving it to your brothers in October 14.
Welcome, you can do this. You're going to have to fight for it though, we can't hand you a win. We can help you though, we've all been right there.

Welcome aboard. The key to using this site is posting roll EVERY day. When you do you are making to not chew...today. The next morning do the same thing. Never look over the horizon, just focus on quitting now. However it all starts when you post roll (which also serves as your promise).

One of the other matras is to dig up at much hate for dipping as you can muster, hatred for being addicted, hatred that US Tobacco has so much of your money, hatred of all the lying and hiding you've done, the health risks its caused, the yellow teeth and dirty fingernails, hatred for making the quit so hard, whatever you can muster up....Pull it all together and wear it as a coat of armor, because quiting is hard fucking work, everyday you are quit you need to hate dipping more than you want to cave. You can do it.

So post roll and get your quit on JT. Posting roll is a promise between quitters that they will not use nicotine for 24 hours. I posted roll today, what say you join me?
