Thanks Vadge

I'm chewing gum like it's keeping me alive. The SUCK is setting in, there's no doubt about it. I can't seem to sit still or do very much without spacing out - but it's this feeling of anxiety. Not like I'm short of breath, not like there's an axe murderer after me...but the kind where your fingers and toes feel a little electric and you want to jump up and run around the house (or feel like you could run a marathon right now).

I suppose that means its time for a walk or to go to the gym or something.

The good thing about quitting today is that I work from home. The bad part about this is also that I work from home!

If you work from home, it's time for BREAK TIME. You need a CHANGE UP right now.

Take a walk around the block or to the park. Step the fuck out. Grab your iPod or some kind of music player and download a song you have been wanting for a long time -- download it and rock the fuck out, then step out.

You got this. Change your paradigm, the finish line is tonight when you hit the sack, tomorrow is another day, and you can worry about that tomorrow.

FUCK TOBACCO.

So what do we do? Anything. Something. So long as we just don't sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we've satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late.

Thank you. Fair question - I suppose I wasn't all that clear with my intro. No the ex did not work at 7-11, what I meant to say was that I ran into her, then went straight to the 7-11 because at the time I knew (just KNEW!) having a nice fat dip would be a great way to deal with the whole situation. Even better because my body was nicotine free. Double the pleasure, double the fun.

Regardless, that's all long, long in the past (2 years?)....

I'm quitting dip strictly for me now. I've been dipping full time for about 7-8 years and I'm not even 30 just yet!

It seems like far too much of my life so far to be involved in such a vile and disgusting habit.
Welcome aboard southern!!!!

post roll every day
drink lots of water
stay quit

Great Job Posting Day 1 Southern!
Thanks for clearing the 7-11 girlfriend thing up. I was wondering that myself. I have never seen too many hotties behind the counter at 7-11. But, I haven't been in 7-11/DeadSeal Dealer for 55 days.

Remember all nicotine is out.

Use seeds, cough drops, coffee beens, fake, or rgross's favorite: cat turds.
Drink plenty of water, and cranberry juice seems to help for some reason.

Oh, when posting roll, make sure you highlight the entire lower box before cutting. You only cut about 12 brothers off the list. Hahaha, but don't worry about that. Worry about kicking the Bitch out of your life for good! Minute by minute, hour by hour today. Get through today. We'll get to tomorrow, tomorrow.

Welcome to the Suck Brother. Don't let that Bitch beat you.

Southern,
Congratulations and welcome to the crew. It is time for you to explore life after tobacco, brother.
Just curious, did your Ex-girlfriend WORK at 7-11? Regardless, if that chick sounds like poison if you caved after six months. Good riddance.

Day 1, 3rd time's the charm!
« on: March 08, 2012, 02:18:00 PM »
Today is the day I quit. After roaming around here for a few weeks and planning my quit, today is the day I'm going dip free. Already feeling anxious (oddly enough I feel like I was doing okay before I logged on to do this) and I know at some point it's really going to start sucking.

Fortunately I've managed to work myself down from about a tin every 1.5 days to 2 a day (and not huge ones!) to today.

I've legitimately quit once before for about 6 months. But I caved after unexpectedly running into an ex-girlfriend. Ex -- 7-11 -- back on the tin. Stayed like that for another year or so. Then I tried the Nicorrette route. We all know that doesn't work ;)

So here I am. My 100 days is June 12th and I'm excited to get there. But first I know these next few days are going to be REALLY tough. I'm glad I found this site.
