Welcome Nate,

you're in the right place. Good on you for taking your life back while relatively young. If I can quit after 30+ years, anyone can. Go to the Welcome Center if you haven't already, and learn about what we do, how we do it, how to join a group, post, etc.:

Feel free to PM me for phone number for texting if you so desire.

All the best,

Welcome Nate and congrats on making this decision before your tobacco addiction drags on for many years.

The tough news for you is that even though you haven't been using as long as some others here, you are still very much an addict, and that doesn't go away. Four years with that chemical in your system means that your brain chemistry has altered and you will always have to be vigilant.

On the bright side, it will never be easier for you to quit than it is right now. We have quitters who had been using longer than you (or I) have been alive. If they can do it cold turkey, so can you.

Find your quit group, start posting roll (your daily promise not to use nicotine) and buckle up. Everyone in your group is going through the same kinds of things, so get to know them and build a support network. This can be done and it's so much better on the other side.

Reach out if I can help.

Hey everyone, I'm Nate.

I am 24 years old, and have been dipping on and off since I was 20. I currently have no known medical problems as a result of my dipping, however I recently came to the realization that this can't go on forever, and sooner or later, this habit is going to catch up to me. I had today what I intend to be my last dip for the rest of my life, so the journey starts now.

I have heard about this online community in the past, and given the difficulty of overcoming tobacco addiction, I think I will need all the help I can get.
