Day 36 and I am feeling really feeling good about my quit. I have my moments when I say I wish I had a dip, but so far so good. Working on a kitchen tile project some tedious task all weekend and man I wish I had some chew. Those are the moments I run into here and there, but staying strong.

My next order of business if to get better at posting roll. With my job it can be tough with the internet access, but I am going to get better. Always checking in, but I do need to get better at posting. I appreciate the messages when I don't post and they do help.

Thanks,
JKrash
Jkrash day 184 here and not a day goes by that I don't think about dip, but I also think about how well I feel, how much better my breath smells, and mostly all the cancer I hear and read about! Before you do something as stupid as putting that shit in your mouth staple your balls together that get your mind off the bitch! Post roll as soon as you can edd! Damn proud to be quit with you today my friend!
This is good shiz guys!

Keep marching on and plugging away. There will come a day, sooner than you'll expect, where it doesn't cross your mind. Other than popping on here... it never enters my thoughts. Sure, there are the random cravings but they're squashed without effort anymore. Weird as it may seem to say... cherish these early struggles because they make the freedom to come even more awesome!
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

25 days into my quit and today was rage day. I don't know why I am so angry today, but fuck it has been a rough one. I woke up in a great mood, but the first bad moment today sent me down a wave of bitterness and anger. I thought about saying screw it and grabbing a tin, but so far so good.
Jkrash, balls to the wall my friend! It definitely gets easier but you better decide how bad you want this because it's easy to say the hell with it and grab a tin or you can man up and beat this shit! The rewards of your success will be awesome! I quit with you today!

Solid. This is a solid quit you started. You're posting roll, posting in your journal, and winning the daily battle. Keep it up and start ramping up your accountability - add numbers, post on other newbie intros, post roll in other months. Before you know it, you'll have a following, you'll develop friendships - some of which will run very deep. In short, build your quit to the point where should you cave that the degree of your hypocrisy will be too much to even fathom.

So, keep it up my friend...but now its time to take it to the next level.

Thanks guys. Still rocking at day 20. I had a few hell days at work and and missed roll call, but I posted today. Also, good news is I didn't cave during those rough work days. I have a few favorite moments of dipping and after a long stressful day at work is one of them. Jumping in the truck and throwing one in is probably one of my favorites. Even went to softball this week and a bunch of guys asked me if I had a can or if I wanted a dip and I stayed clear. Pretty trying week, but staying strong on day 20!

Just posted roll. It was a long day in the workplace today. Had to take a regulations test for work and man did I want to throw one in after that test. Stayed strong passed 12 gas stations and made it home. Day 16 staying strong!

You're MIA today. Where are you? Get in here and post.

As for the fake shit, I'm with you. I like not using any fake stuff and keeping up a total cold turkey. Having said that, a cave would be worse than a sunflower seed or fake shit, so do what you have to do, but stay clean.

Proud to be with you 2-weeker.

Thanks guys. It's funny I am on day 15 now and I keep thinking about buying some kind of alternative whether it be fake chew or candy, but I just don't do it. It's like I am nervous to buy it cause it will remind me of real dip.
Reminding you want kill you but caving could! Be prepared this shit will kick you in the balls so you better be ready to fight back. 163 days had cravings today!

Thanks really appreciate all the knowledge. When I read some of the emails about 30+ years of chewing and then quitting it is really impressive and shows great determination. . Can I ask how you guys started your last and final quit? Was it cold turkey? Use alternatives like fake dip, candy, toothpicks, etc?
Just wondering. I have been cold turkey and have found myself chewing on a toothpick here and there. Thought about purchasing one of the alternatives, but don't want it to back fire and make me want a chew more. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Cold turkey is the only approved method here at KTC.

As far as alternatives go...whatever is nic free is in play. Gum, seeds, toothpicks, altoids, atomic fire balls, etc. I never tried fake dip as I figured it would just piss me off but, it's worked for tons of folks.
Use the olé bacoff my friend it's for the oral fixation, down to about 2 cans a week. Saved my ass more than a few times. Better to have something available, than not. Quit on my brother!
I used to dip Skoal Wintergreen, and now I suck on Wintergreen Lifesavers during those times I used to dip.
These right HERE have been a tremendous help to me. Just stock up and keep your teeth clean at the same time!
