Never forget to use this place fully. I didnt fully vest myself into this place til i was 200+ days never posted much more then roll and ghosted daily, I can tell you i had more cravings and desires for chew then, then i do now being involved. Hit people up get digits whether you need them or not and post support to other groups accountability only works if the older quitter and vets know who you are.

Hello everyone. My name is Ty and I am on day 5 of my quit. Been doing skoal straight can/day for almost 20 freakin years and I am done with it.

I have been hanging out here in the forums for a couple days and just want to introduce myself and say thanks. Coming to these forums and reading other people's experiences and support has really helped me. I am in with Pre-HOF January 2017 group.
5 days of winning, after 20 YEARS of losing... it is a pretty good feeling, isn't it?

Yeah, the withdrawals and the fog and all of that BS sucks, but man it feels good to be on the winning side of what WAS a losing battle.

Glad to have you aboard, Ty. If you need a contact or anything, shoot me a PM and I'll share my number. This place works to help us do something together that we could not do alone - so soak in the brotherhood and keep posting roll. The accountability works.

Congratulations on a great, great decision.
Ty- great choice- and great to get in here and introduce yourself. Keep logging your experiences here so others can do like you did- learn from your journey. It'll also make a nice record of what you never want to do again. When i look back at my intro, it solidifies my commitment even almost three years out. I NEVER want to go through that again. One "just one" won't be worth all that-- even if it really could just be one, which it never is. Keep building your quit, and your network of support and accountability. It takes all you can give, but it is SO worth it-- after 20 years of use, you cant even begin to understand how great freedom is yet, but little by little bit, the journey will reveal itself to you. The tastes of freedom, in so many ways, will be so amazing when they come your way.

You're on that path now, stay on it, give it ALL you have, this is your chance!
Welcome and congrats,
This is your quit, no one but you can take it away from you!
Protect it by posting roll everyday!

Wow great advice from great quitters above. Don't just read it, put it to use!
Hey Tee - welcome to the best decision you can make for yourself and future. I know how you feel bud - 17 years of skoal straight for myself. tried and failed so many times. started to wonder if I would ever be able to kick it. started to think I was weak and that I was just bound to chew til death. this site works. arm yourself with knowledge and face the fact that you are/was addicted to one of the most powerful and deadliest drugs on the planet.

get a couple weeks under your belt and you will feel very empowered. reach out when you need help. the chat function on killthecan.org can help you pass through some of the rage and fog as well.

quit with you today bro.
Tee. As others have said here, great job posting an intro and quitting 5 days is outstanding. Own your quit and use the tools here to help you stay quit. Make yourself accountable to others, post support in other groups trade digits
so others can text support to you and vice versa. Acountability builds brotherhood, brotherhood makes you successful. Proud to quit with you today!
