The bottom line, Bulldog, is that the first few days and weeks will be really tough.
The second bottom line is that the crap you've been putting in your lip can and may kill you; the nic is wreaking havoc in your physiology and the other toxins/poisons may be setting you up for cancer. Right now you are not the real you!! You're nic's slave. So it's quite helpful to learn to hate the stuff and what it's doing to you.
Finally, the third bottom line is that you will most likely fail if you quit alone. This site works by joining quitters with each other and with the larger support group as we keep ourselves accountable. Join the March group and post roll and repeat each day.

Welcome to the site and welcome to freedom!

Bulldog,

Here is - what to expect

We are a no bullshit qroup of quitters here. We post roll first thing each morning and give our word that we will not use nicotine for that day. We keep our word for that day and then repeat the process the next.

Don't worry about anything other than that. One day at a time. Accountability to eachother makes it work.

Read everything you can. Post roll.
How to post rollRead some more.
Stay quit.

Hey guys, i'm 22 and have been dipping for about 4 years now. I started when I was playing high school baseball and my addiction really grew from there. As i've gotten older, i've realized that the benefits of quitting far outweigh the buzz from nic. I've tried to make a few attempts to quit, but 2 months was the longest i've ever gone before starting back. I'm really trying to go into quitting with a much more serious attitude this time. Can anyone who has gone through the initial steps of quitting offer some advice on things they found helpful as a new quitter? Anything in particular that helped you avoid setbacks?
Welcome, Bulldog. I moved this over to the "Introduction" thread.

All you need to do to quit bulldog is throw out all nicotine, which is what you're addicted to, and never, ever ingest any again. It's as easy as you make it. We're here to help.

Look above and go to the WELCOME CENTER link and read about this site and what we do. Then, toss all nicotine and reclaim your freedom today by posting roll with us. Yell if you need anything.
