Drink the kool-aid
Yeah right. I'll pass on the kool-aid. That is the last thing over 900 people in guyana heard if I remember correcty.

But seriously Sharfy, you can and will do this.

The difference now is you have a full support group and tools behind you.
Pretty sure Glenn just called us all TOOLS. Fucker.

Dude - you sound just like the rest of us. THE difference is this place. You become accountable to a bunch of people you may never meet - faceless internet screen names. Oddly enough, that is just what most of us needed - someone to be accountable to besides our own addicted asses.

Drink the kool-aid and dig yourself in as much as possible. It gets better - but will get worse before that happens. You most certainly CAN and WILL get through it. Stick close this weekend - reach out if you need help. Connect with famousdavis and promise each other one day at a time.
Listen to these fine fucking quitters. I'll be damned if they don't know exactly what they are talking about.

Call me Sharfy. I have tried to quit by myself so many times I cannot keep tract. Dipped all through college playing baseball and just could never kick the habit. I stopped for 3 years once and was out with old friends drunk and had a dip and it has been a struggle ever since. Wanted to try something else to help me kick this habit. I am sick for this. I do not want me kids to end up doing this because I did. i had to tell my 7 year old to never do this. He knows I am trying to stop and I had to tell him how hard it is. I am hoping all the support here is what I need to turn the corner and never do it again.
Hey Sharfy, this is my first day as well. Let's see if we can get one day apeace.
I think you two should exchange phone numbers and call each other and yell your asses off at how the other one is such an asshole for keeping you quit.
Seriously, PM each other your phone numbers.

Nobody ever talks about Kikit but a guy I know from around here swears by it. In my early stages of my quit I googled the fuck out of it but didn't know how to spell it. Anyone ever use it?

Smokey Mountain Chew available at all WalMarts. It's only in the tobacco aisle, so don't go when your craving. Also, buy up when you find it, places don't seem to care if they keep it in stock at all times.

One other hint: Try several flavors regardless of what flavor you dipped.I dipped natural flavored tobacco, and couldn't stand anything flavored. The smokey mountain wintergreen is what did it for me, go figure. Several others have said the same thing.

Sharfly, you quit once before for 3 years so you know you can do this. The difference now is you have a full support group and tools behind you. So the quittin' part, you've done it, you can do it again.

Second, my kids used to look at me like a loser when I told them I was quit and an hour, a day, later i was dippin again. Kids know. You don't want to be that loser.

The most important thing at the beginning of this quit is to join your quit group and post roll every day. Read up on everything else and the rest of the stuff around here comes pretty easy.

Welcome, quitter. Ditto to everything that Greg said, and like everyone told me, spend your time reading EVERYTHING on here as you go through the first roughness. It won't be easy, but it's worth it.

Welcome. If you truly want to quit then this place can help you. Let me suggest changing your vocabulary just a bit. Remove the words hope, try, maybe, and replace them with will, can, and do. This is very much a mental game too.

The physical stuff should be over in 72 hours. Then comes the mind games. Get your mind right and this becomes much easier. Drink plenty of water and juice over the next few days. Stay close to the site and read, read, read.

Great Decision... Now click on the link below.. this will take you to the July HOF group which will be your brothers who have the same quit days as you and post roll.
