Quote from: AnnaThank you everyone for the support!! I am very confident I will never touch the stuff again. Today went better than I thought, I only wanted to fight a couple times at work. :) It has been 28 hours since my quit. One day at a time. This website, you all are amazing!!
Congratulations on a great decision. But a word of warning. It is going to be hard. Really, really hard. Don't be over confident. Be prepared.

Use the tools this place gives you. Get numbers and use them. Read everything. Read it again. Post roll every day and keep your promise.

You have done a good thing.

Merry Christmas.

Great to have you here Jason. I'm 65 days into my quit, which is unchartered water for me. This site has been a huge help. Read all you can, take the advice of the vets and get some numbers. PM me if you want mine.

Jason - what a wonderful Christmas gift you are giving your children. I am only 14 days into my quit, but I am quite confident that I would not be quit this long without this site and these people.

It is a very simple premise but a very powerfull one. You will meet a lot of folks on this site. Some of them crass, some of them off-colored, and some of them will seem flat out mean. But I will guarantee you that everyone of them wants to see you succeed in your quit. More to the point, everyone wants to see you post roll and keep your promise to them. That is how this works - accountability. There is no easy way. Just stick with your commitment and know that it will get better.

Let me know if I can help in anyway.

Welcome aboard Jason, You have made a great desision to take back your life. We will help get you through this.

I repeated this to myself several times a day and it helped me keep focused.

I refuse to be a statistic anymore. Once I realized the only way to quit and stay quit is if I accept the responsibility of controlling my own actions. A little can no longer controls my actions, thoughts, emotions, MY DESTINY. I DO! There is no going back from here or I am that statistic I refuse to be.
